I would suggest finding a different curriculum for learning ASL because what you are using is so outdated. Plus since it doesn't teacher the grammar you should not use it. I suggest signing Naturally or Master ASL.

I believe it would be better to hire an interpreter who is certified by registry for interpreters for the Deaf. Sometimes fresh out of college doesn't mean they know what they are doing.

Years, but it also depends on how much interaction with the Deaf you have. For me I'm hard-of-hearing, but didn't learn to sign until high school. I picked up the language really fast, but i'm still learning more and more as I interact with Deaf people. Hope this helps you.

Here in Jacksonville we have a ton of Deaf people, but one of my friends goes to a Deaf meet at the mall in Ocala and she goes to a church were Deaf people attend. Hope you find what you are looking for.

hmmm.... not sure about RIT/NTID, but I know Galluadett allows for foreign students to attend their school. I would say just contact the school and see what they have to offer for you.

Well, I downloaded it from purple and they only asked weather you were Deaf or hard-of-hearing and I was able to download P3 onto my computer for free.
