I experienced what I considered an earache which they assured me was normal. After all, you've had something crammed in to your cochlea, there's bound to be some pain. The surgeon hadn't mentioned the earache beforehand.

I have always had hearing aid insurance to cover situations such as this. Perhaps when you get a new aid, you can investigate coverage. Sorry this happened to you - it's rough to be without!

Me too! Some days I simply can't wait to get out the door and in the car so that I can take my hearing aids off! It will be interesting to see if I experience as much 'fatigue' with the CI as I do with HA's.
