Is there anyone familiar with Mirc? Have used it for many many moons now - realtime chatting to anyone anybody in the world. One can make a room and anyone can chat to their hearts content. Its like here, we post one at a time - whereas Mirc allows any number of people seeing what you type...

Well I have a household with two tv's in the lounge - the 51cm is the family one, the top one 34cm is mine - I use that to plug in the headphone - so now everyone is happy to watch the same thing on two tvs, or even different shows :)

You are spot on with that one - I too lipread and talk okay minus the prounouciation of a couple of letters. People do not understand what it must be like no matter the lightness or severity of deafness. People look at us as normal, but when they have that 'look' maybe then they will know...

Diesel I applaud you in researching what you can do for your deaf student. In the end your efforts are worth it. Generally its said that handicapped people work twice as hard than a 'normal' person.. But then sheesh whats normal. Your deaf student will am sure be grateful for all you can do for...
