Thanks, Jillio! It's refreshing to read news items like this one. Deaf schools have been much maligned and need to be given their due. Here's hoping for more positive news items like this one.

Kudos to ISD! Let this serve as notice that deaf schools are as good as hearing schools and are not to be considered a place for "mainstream school rejects". Way to go, ISD! Ernie

HOH but raised in a deaf world and residential deaf school. I can hear well enough (with digital HA's) to play and enjoy music and speak well enough to work with the public as a Window Clerk at the Post Office. ASL is my first language and spoken English is my second language.
