    Jen Doods and Her Experience

I did have very good accommodations thankfully. Echo is semi-similar to a regional program, although it is Oral Only. It has a 90% hearing population and a 10% deaf population, for maximum exposure to language and a good introduction to what mainstream life will be, but without being isolated...

    oral death program question

I got my CI at 9, and even after having it for half of my life, it is still exhausting to wear. I was one of those children who were forced to wear it, for 2 weeks after I moved into my dorm... I didn't let the processor touch my head. It was amazing being free from it.

    Hi

I've gotten that joke for quite a while... but no. Not Hannah Montana... Born in Montana yes... but only lived there for a year. Don't remember a thing of it. When my parents found out I was deaf they moved to Santa Monica so I could attend JTC and Echo.

    Hi

ASL and CS. use it for different things. In most classes I have ASL interpreters, but I have CLT's for English classes, and both CLT and ASL interpreters for my science classes, because of the wording.

    Jen Doods and Her Experience

The article was well worded, and in many instances I agree with her. One of the things I am thankful for, and yet at the same time frustrated with, is my early education placements. When my parents found out I was deaf they packed up their bags and moved to the LA area.. I was 1 year old. From...

    Hi

I've always hated these intro threads, I never know what to say. Lets start off by saying my name is Hannah, I was born in Montana but I grew up mainly in Santa Monica, CA. When I graduated High School, I moved to Arizona to attend ASU, which I am in my first semester. My major is currently...
