Question about putting sentences together with ASL

I think that is interesting because since its also english, you'd think it was the same. Like how in spanish you put the sentences together differently. Interesting. Keep this coming. I like what I read. I almost wrote "I like what I hear" then I thought that would be rude. :hmm:

Question about putting sentences together with ASL

Can you just put any words together to form a sentence? Or is it different? Like can I look up the words Nice, to, meet, you, separately and put them together to make a sentence?

I know at least one of you can help me

The animations on that site are great! I think I can only learn from animations (videos) and not just pictures.

I know at least one of you can help me

Thank you so much for helping me! It doesn't seem that there are many deaf people in Eureka, but maybe they just don't hold meetings or things of that sort. I will keep my search going. Once again, thank you for your time!

My first encounter with deaf people

Oh no! I am absolutley aware of what this website is, but I just wanted to know if anyone else thought that too. Maybe I shouldn't have posted that, but in no means did I mean it to sound like I was trying to hook up with deaf people. And I'm sorry if you or anyone else thought that. I...

I know at least one of you can help me

Well, I'm not really sure to be honest. (lol) But, I think what I could use is to get in contact with deaf people (and here I am!). Maybe a DVD or something, but I don't want to buy one and have it suck.

I know at least one of you can help me

My first encounter with deaf people

I live in Eureka. Do you know where that is? Where do you live? I have this secret fantasy to date a deaf guy. I am not taking a sign class because I have not been able to find one. Plus I am going to be in school as a junior next year, and I have a job, so it might be kind of hard to do...

My first encounter with deaf people

So I work at McDonald's, and one day two deaf men came in. They wrote down their orders, and everything went fine. I don't know what it was, but I was really attracted to them. Maybe it was their energy. But they looked like they were having an intense conversation. They were rapidly signing...

    Fireworks are scary

Can deaf people tell when fireworks are going off if they weren't looking at the sky, from the energy of others around them?

Thank you for replying, by the way. And I really could not tell you approximately how many deaf people there are in Eureka. We are a relativley small town- about 40,000 people. And I just really don't know how to get involved in the deaf community. But i guess here is a good place to start...
