A very general question: Where is the best place to live (North America) money wise?

I know that Miami is not (never!) on that short list.

Statistically Arkansas has the cheapest living cost in the United States.

Probably because of Wal-Mart's headquarters is in Arkansas!

Definately not Seattle, Washington and definately not in this little town I live in!

Hey, you live in the self-built bird nest. It's priceless, and no property tax at all, because it is on tree.

Most part of southeast (except in most part of FL), southwest (except in coastal area of CA) and midwest (except in Chicago area) are reasonable for cost of living, even can be cheaper than expected.

Depending on what you are looking for in a city/metropolitan area.

IMO, most-sought affordable cities to live and for jobs nationally:
- Indianapolis
- Las Vegas
- Atlanta
- Charlotte, N. Carolina
- Jacksonville-Duval, Fla.
- Houston
- Dallas
- Austin, Tex.
- Raleigh, N. Carolina
- Fayetteville, Ark.
- Nashville-Davidson, Tenn.
- San Antonio, Tex.

Mississippi has been at the very bottom of the GDP list by state for at least 50 years now. per capita income is now around $24k. i'm sure it must be cheap as hell to live there, if you can stand the backwoods inbreds and a diet of 100% gumbo.

LOL, August... it's not that bad there especially in the northern part near Memphis.

One day I will leave beautiful Miami (the super high cost of living down here is beyond words!), and reside elsewhere. Where? I haven't a clue...but I am single and very willing to leave the expensive sunshine behind. Thank you for your input. :)

is it true that in Miami, instead of water, liquid gold with diamonds comes out of the tap?

and is it true that 1 in 3 women in Miami are porn stars?

and is it true that all restaurants in Miami have a sign that says "No Gucci, No Lamborghini, No service"?

but the north pole is nowhere near Alaska.

:dunno2:

Research before you post.

House for sale, check the price.

i assumed you meant the real north pole, not a lame cash-in, gimmick city.

I have a lot of Orthodox Jew friends do celebrate Christmas. Is there any different types of Jewish religions?

no, there are only faithful Jews who obey their traditions and fraudulent "Jews" who sell out and buy christmas presents for the kiddies.

just kidding.

i lied.

i'm not jewish.

and i do greedily demand gifts every December 25th.

but Santa can drink a Cyanide Mountain Dew for all i care.
