I take pills too, but I feels that the pills isn't working properly, I have 3 different Diabetic medication, I feels it's alittle too much, my medication is not name brand but a genetric, is that possible that genetric brand aren't as strong as a name brand ones ?

That's something you should be asking your doctor.

I've never liked generic brands.

Thank you VamPyroX

I hate to say that I'm on medicaid, I really hated medicaid, I can't wait to get my medicare, can't get it til next year...Sure I will be asking my doctor about generic don't works as strong as the name brand one...

I noticed that my sister's husband also a diabetic and he has nice health insurance and got a name brand medicine and it helps lower his sugar, that's strange how I take a generic brand and my sugar keeps getting higher.

I feels that state or health dept don't care for people who cannot afford a name brand medication and give them a cheap weak generic medicine that isn't helping, people keeps getting sicker and sicker.

I have diabetic for few years with proper diet and exercise but last appt with dr check up, my hac1b went higher than last year so maybe he will put me on pills when I see him next appt if I do not improve my hac1b with diet and lose weight. It is hard to lose weight when I work and stress level is so high.

I had diabetic 11 years ago, my blood test up & down
went up mean No sex
went down ready have sex ........ how silly of me ;)

Type II here. The metformin is generic and it is working for me. My A1C is in normal range the last time.

I went to fitness studio 3 or 4 times a week since last year. I learn a lot from there. Some people who have diabetic... They said that execrise helps to reduce their diabetic level...

Thanks for link. I do know I have hard time to eat potato and pasta, they raise my sugar level higher than sugar itself alone. Yes I know I need to exercise everyday but with my job it drained me everyday with stress and crazy drivers out there. I came home sooo beat and not feel alike to get on treadmill. I miss go to gym everyday but with gas cost nowdays, I stopped going there.

Diabetic

My doctor tested me for PCOS and then told me I got diabetes, that was in the years of 2002, What if I have it for a long time and not even know it, why didn't the doctor tested me every year to be sure if I have it or not, I was onlys 36 years old when told I got it, I was stunned and shocked, telling myself why me and it's so impossible to have it when all those years I was growing up and bam I got the diabetes, it made me so angry tho'.

Forgot to adds this after my doctor told me what I had, he said I wasn't able to have children and after I left his office I cryed soo hard, it's soo impossible!

Diabetes is soo serious, found out if your sugar too high and it eats you up inside, that's pretty scary. My feets feels pretty weird I hated that feeling in my feet, it sometimes feels like it's cold, tingling and little burning feeling, it's horrified me.

My doctor send me to a specialist to find out if PCOS caused my diabetes, but I missed that important appointment cuz I moved out of state, that's why and I'm gonna E-mail my doctor and see if it's possible to removed my cyst and maybe I can be diabetes free.

I even used to have low-blood sugar too, what a mess!

You can not be diabetes free at all. All you do is to control your diabetes. You can get pregnant, even with vitro fertilization.

I was diagnosed with diabetes at age of 34. I was upset after I learned that I got diabetes from my biological great grandmother. My biological mother withheld any additional medication information from me. I am taking two shots a day to control my diabetes ever since.

When I lost some weight when I was 36, dr checked my sugar and it was pretty close to diabetic, not yet. So i went to see my primary dr 8 months later and have rechecked my sugar. She said "you do not have idabetic" It is all in your head. I said okay. three years later, out of blue I went to health fair with my sister in law and had my sugar blood check, I was shocked to see my sugar soo high. I was soo upset and furious with that stupid doctor who told me it was all in my head three years before. i wish I would have know then so I make sure I do eat properly but I did not. Now I am stuck with it for rest of my life. First clue, was my grandmother and my mother had diabetic ( bad gene played that part) and and next clue was gave birth to almost 11 lbs baby. No one in both side of family weight that much when they were born except my son. shat happened. I am too young to have diabetic, thank goodness my siblings are aware of it and take easy to avoid them as long as they can hopefully never come to them.
