Are you ready for the much-anticipated scorcher? If you thought yesterday was hot, try today.
The hottest weather of the year starts just in time for the weekend with temperatures peaking at 94 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service. Sunny, warm weather will stretch into Saturday and Sunday, but temperatures won't be as balmy. The high Saturday is expected to reach 87, and on Sunday, it will be 78.
And when it's time to go back to work, it also will be time to put away the sunscreen. With highs in the 70s and 60s, temperatures will be closer to average on Monday and Tuesday. Partly cloudy skies are also expected.
