No War: Single vs Marriage

While I visited the thread, I thought why not try this?

Just write it out:
- 5 positive things to say for either pro-single or pro-marriage.
- 10 negative things to say for "against" either single or marriage.

Or you can say a random thing you want to say if you'd rather to. ;)

In the note - This is for "VS" discussion debate only. It is how much you feel about being single or married, or other than that. It's also just for fun debate. No flaming posts, please. Just keep this thread clean. Peace.

Let's begin! :D

Single
- Feel so free from the pain
- Enjoy the life without marriage
- Can hang out and play with pet(s)
- Can flirt as long as you wish to! :D
- Can hang out with friends as often as you want to

Marriage
- Kids are cute but bratty blops are a BIG NO-NO :Ohno:
- Drama with a spouse :nono:
- Cheating is destory the marriage :wiggle:
- Dicvoce (sp) is sucks ^_^
- Money problem; always about $$$ :dizzy: :D
- Fake spouse wants/uses you for his/her greedy. :eek3: Heh
- Can't flirt with anybody cos you got your spouse. :( :hmm:
- Hardly hang out with friends. Hell, why not? :hmm:
- Worry too much about your teens, tsk! :cool2:
- Too much headaches for being married, huh? :D =P
 
Wouldn't asking us to do 5 PRO and 10 CON be considered biased? That's like asking us to be very negative towards being single or being married?

Common sense. Just use other less negative and more positive things to say. As above on the first post, I just avioded the deep shadow or too much.

For example -

Common things -

Drama
Money
Divcove
Kids
Etc

It's not really nescessary to mention about family death, worse sitaution, or anything is related to that. Just aviod it, like females vs males thread over there.

I thought it's may be interest to learn... but I guess I am so wrong. So let me PM you about this thread..

Oh, nothing wrong... just wanted to have people post their PROs and CONs from their own thoughts.

For instance, I might have 3 good things and 2 bad things to talk about being married, but 4 good things and 2 bad things to talk about being single. That way, I'm talking about what's on my mind on both sides on both subjects instead of being limited to talking only bad about one thing and only good about the other thing. :)

Yeah. If they'd rather to as long as it dont offend anyone else. ;) Let me post one more comment so it will clear much better.

EDIT: For more clear -- I add one more thing, you can say both pro & con (it's not matter if it's a biased or not) as long as this thread keep to be cool off. Remmy, it's just for fun.
 
I have more pros on single than marriage but... just prefer to be civil unions over marriage for gay people, even I don't believe in marriage, for both of straight and gay people.
 
I am going to answer this in terms of "single vs. relationship" because I think that is really the question. Right?

Relationship:
* Someone to listen to you when you need to talk about something important
* Someone who understands you better than anybody else in the world
* Feeling good about yourself when you help your partner
* Have someone to experience everything with and get their viewpoint on same activities
* Never have to feel alone, somebody always loves you

Single:
* When you are sick nobody comes to take care of you
* If you die, and you have no family, nobody gets your stuff
* Harder to make decisions because you have nobody to discuss them with
* Being alone is very boring and you have nobody to share fun things with
* Nobody to applaud you when you succeed, nobody to comfort you when you fail
 
You mention about single are so free from the pain, I have to disagree on that one because there is no way in life a single person free from pain, Pain is always around. Single means you have the time to grow and be the person you want to be. I do understand that being single means freedom.

As for marriage, I don't see that as a life sentence or prison. Marriage life is full of excitement and frustration. Marriage has a way of making people grow up and think about the future. When you love someone so much you want to be married to that person for the rest of your life. Life is short.

Actually, both sides has it's own pros and cons. Rather than listing it out, I'd say it's all about how to balance it. It doesn't mean that we are biased towards one side or other side. It all comes together in a way, so to speak.

Sure, Being single is wonderful and being in a relationship is wonderful too.
Being single can be bitter and lonesome, being in a relationship can drive you up to the wall. If both parts are compatible, then that's great because it doesn't always have to be revolved around one part.

I don't really have any PROs or CONs for either. My bigger concern is the type of person that I'm with.

If she's a good person, then everything would be PROs. :)
 
I would say both have the same amount of pros and cons with single and in relationship. It varies to people's experience thru the relationship or being single. Some people are proud to be single, some people prefer to be in relationship.

I want to marry rich woman and I would be mr. mom. No more worry about job. weee! Time to clean, cooking, and massage my busy wife. wee wee.
