It was in 1999, when I was only 11 years old (I was wearing NY Yankees baseball hat, large glasses, pale trousers and brown shoes), I went to visit the university with my parents and my sister.
It was sometime after 9th February, I believe it is later that week. It was the day, I took the tour with Brain Kelson and a ASL interpreter, in the name of Jan.....and after that, my father, my sister and I was standing in a path in the middle of the univeristy area -- (near the caferia I think) my mother was about to take a photo of us, but a young lady stopped by and was talking to us (I had to communicate in ASL, which I knew a bit back then, but I know a lot now -- due to a friend who knows a lot of ASL, we communicate each other instead of AUSLAN
) I forgot her name, she said her name and talked about australia or something similar.
But to this thread I am writing, I just wanted to ask if any of you AD'ers know these people or recall this ....I would love to hear from them as it has been 9 years since! Do let me know
EDIT: Also, this story about going to the U.S.A has been mentioned on deafchat.com in early 1999 and after the trip in late 99 to early 2000's. I have some photos, but will bring it up here later in few days.
