Hulk Hogan's wife files for divorce

Hulk Hogan's Wife Filed For Divorce As A Last Resort

Wrestling star Hulk Hogan's wife has been trying to repair the damage of her crumbling marriage for months - but was forced to file for divorce as a last resort. Linda Bollea submitted legal documents in Florida's Pinellas County Court last week seeking a permanent separation from her husband, whose real name is Terry Bollea.

The sports star was apparently "shocked" when informed of the split on Friday by a reporter from local newspaper the St. Petersburg Times.

But according to fresh reports, it is he who has been reluctant to make it work with 48-year-old Linda.

A source tells website TMZ.com, "She keeps saying to him 'Can't we find a way to make this work?' She doesn't want to see the family break up. She really wants to work it out with him. But it is like pushing up against a brick wall. She is heartbroken about it."

The papers do not state a reason for the divorce. The couple has been married for 23 years following their 1983 wedding, and have two kids, 19-year-old Brooke and 17-year-old Nick.

That's what I thought so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like what I said in my first post that I am not surprised because I know his relationship with 2 young adult children thru TV how extreme and too strict he is toward them.

I had the feeling thru TV that Linda prefer privacy. I think TV show is the blame to damage their marriage.

We disagree his discipline toward his young adult children but we can't say anything against him because I know each parent have different form of discipline toward their children.

Hulk Hogan's divorce was long in planning?

Despite reports of Hulk Hogan being caught off guard about the divorce proceedings of his wife, Hogan and wife Linda have been separated for some time now, and the couple even filmed part of their last season of "Hogan Knows Best" while apart according to production insiders.

TMZ.com reports that the Hogans have been separated since June, and that the divorce filing was not a surprise to the Hogans or people who know the couple. Sources tell TMZ that the couple even filmed part of their reality TV show "Hogan Knows Best" when they were separated. This was a source of problems for production, because they had to play nice while filming scenes together.

Linda Hogan filed for divorce on Wednesday, but the papers don't give any specific reason for the filing.

Even though it was Linda Bollea who served divorce papers on Hulk Hogan last week, the 48 year-old allegedly wants it to work. "She keeps saying to him 'Can't we find a way to make this work?," a source close to the couple tells TMZ. "She doesn't want to see the family break up.

The couple was hit with a real problem when their minor son Nick, 17, wound up facing felony charges of reckless driving from an August car wreck.

The Tampa Tribune reports that Linda Bollea wants a share of two multimillion-dollar local properties she and her husband own as well as alimony, child support and attorney fees.

These are the details in a divorce petition she filed last week in Pinellas Circuit Court against famed wrestler Hulk Hogan after 24 years of marriage.

The lawsuit says the marriage is "irretrievably broken." The two had one child - Nick Bollea, 17, who was arrested this month in connection with a wreck that left a passenger, John Graziano, with severe brain injuries.

Linda Bollea is seeking child support and a life insurance policy to cover child support in the event that Hogan dies, the petition states. She wants wherever she decides to live to be Nick Bollea's primary residence, with Hogan allowed liberal visitation, the petition states.

She also wants Hogan to pay for Nick Bollea's health insurance, the petition states. Linda Bollea wants the couple's assets equitably distributed including the family's $.7.2 million mansion on Willadel Drive, which has a gazebo, two boat davits, a pool, a fountain and three fireplaces.

She also wants a share of a separate $2 million waterfront home, the petition states. Neither property has a mortgage on it, the petition states.

The couple also have a condominium under construction in Las Vegas; Linda Bollea wants a share of that, too.

If the two cannot work out an arrangement, the properties should be ordered sold, with the money divided equally between the two, the petition states. Linda Bollea also says she does not have enough money to pay a lawyer, though Hogan does.

Hulk Hogan tells wife to keep hands off his money: report - Yahoo! News

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (Reuters) - Professional wrestling and reality TV star Hulk Hogan has a message for his estranged wife, who filed for divorce without telling him first after about 24 years of marriage -- hands off my money.

Linda Bollea filed divorce papers on November 20 against Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, seeking an unspecified amount of alimony and child support for their son, 17-year-old son Nick, as well as custody for the teenager. They also have a daughter, Brooke, 19.

But according to the St. Petersburg Times, Hogan, 54, on Wednesday this week filed a counter-petition in Pinellas County Court in Florida, saying his 48-year-old wife was capable of supporting herself and helping with child support.

Hogan said the couple's assets, including two homes, and their liabilities should be divided equally between them, and that Nick, who is legally a minor until his 18th birthday in July, was old enough to decide for himself where he will live.

Nick Bollea was arrested November 7 on reckless driving charges for an August 28 accident in Clearwater, Florida, that left his passenger, John Graziano, 22, in critical condition.

The newspaper said court documents showed the couple separated about a month after their son's car accident.

Hogan and his wife appear on the VH1 reality show "Hogan Knows Best" with their two children.

I think this

From watching the Hogan's not a fan of them but of the show's reality that is what I like more than acting . Plus there is nothing else on

they were seeing someone over Terry's control and etc over lynda's trainer but that is not what I am thinking .
I am thinking this is what perfect timing to hide assests with Nick's friend never getting better and etc ... that once Nick gets to court and civil court and his age the parents may have to pay and Nick himself may get a judgement . Also one of the reasons they moved to Fl was money problems as in FL you can put all the money into the house and not loose them ...........
just my thoughts ...........

This got me concerning is that you making it sound like Hogan is such a bad guy or making him out to be one. I've watched VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best, and I see there's nothing wrong with his parental methods he uses on his teenagers. If you watch that show you'll see the way Linda treats Hogan like dirt regardless of how hard he worked for her and his family, and women like her takes advantage of men for their money. Linda Hogan does not even work, she sits at home beautify herself to make herself attractive then she wants a divorce, wants a lot of money from Hogan. It's pathetic.

Hogan is right for one thing, Nick, who is legally a minor until his 18th birthday in July, was old enough to decide for himself where he wants to live. Linda has no say to where Nick should be. She just wants child support (more money money money money) I think Nick has that right to choose who he wants to live with, it's not Linda's decision.

My view over Hogan´s form of discipline doesn´t mean that he is a bad father since I know each parent has different form of discipline. Why can´t we say something what we think of his discipline toward his teenagers since the title of his TV show "Hogan knows best"? *shrug* Yes, my view is too extreme and strict doesn´t mean that he is a bad father.

We watched TV about him regular weekly... sometimes I miss it. I can tell from TV that Linda want privacy that´s why she didn´t say much on TV. *shrug* What and how they did none of my business because they agrees to show their private life on TV show. I personally don´t agree to show our privacy on the TV.. Oh well.

Yes, I know Nick is a teenager and not reach legal age yet. All what I know from TV that Hogan and Linda have problem with Nick for a long time.

Linda & Hogan married for over 24 years. They both have marriage problem for some time and tried to save their marriage but it doesn´t work so she decided to divorce him. One thing is I find sad that she talk about money.

I might be a cynical but I bet he'll drag on the divorce proceeding until Nick turns 18, so that way he won't have to pay child support.

A divorce with large assets like theirs is bound to take longer than your average divorce before obtaining a decree nisi. Decree nisi means divorce's final or something to that effect.

However I feel that Hulk will have a lot on his plate when the new year comes around. The Hogans is probably going to be held liable for their son's behaviour and that car accident where his friend ended up in permanent coma with no hope of recovering his faculties. And Nick himself probably have to face the court over his actions.

You have to remember that Hulk Hogan is a celebrity and every reporter want some juicy news about their lives, especially his son who was involved in the car accident when Hulk Hogan came out and was very concern about him being hurt and all. His wife is married to the celebrity and the reporter was trying to get juicy news about her, Hulk Hogan and everything. They are not the only ones that the reporters have been chasing them for news. Every famous celebrity or famous people are being chase for news from the reporters, just like Princess DI. It is all a fake on the show whether on WWE or on the show sitcom. Just take it easy on Hulk Hogan's wife. She must have a reason to divorce him and yes, they have family problem. I don't care if they are good or bad people. It is their life and they are going through a difficult time together. Just leave it alone. :pissed: :nono:

Yes, I suspect the same as well.

I began to have a strange feeling when the article, I provided written "Linda Bollea also says she does not have enough money to pay a lawyer, though Hogan does." ?

And Hogan said that his son is a minor until his 18th birthday then can decide himself what he wants. Sure, he is right but to me, Nick is an immaturity for his age.

Hogan is a macho person. He keep his teenagers from develop into maturity young adult.

Wait and see
