the point is.... the middle eastern countries (doesn't matter who) have already taken in over 2 millions of refugees. many of these camps last over 10-20 years and dozens of refugee camps have grown huge enough to be classified as "a city".

USA typically takes in around 0.000001% (exaggerated figure) refugees per year. and I believe we should do our best to increase number of receiving refugees and to reduce the number of refugee camps internationally because it is the one of source of terrorism and piracy. it is also a dramatic financial burden on host country - the longer a refugee camp runs, the more burden it is on host country and the world and the worse it gets - more terrorism, more criminals, more etc.

the organization I worked for has a sole mission - to promote education (meaning setting up schools) in refugee camps in order to provide a sustainable future for children as majority of refugees are children who will later grow up as poor illiterate adults and many of them end up as terrorists or criminals just because they want to eat and live with purpose. the biggest challenge to our goal is finding teachers willing to bear with the bare minimum conditions and ensuring safety and security for schools as many camps get raided/attacked often by gangs/terrorists/etc. to kidnap people especially children (for child soldier) and women (for sex slaves).

I wish it were that easy but it's not.

If you examine the backgrounds of many of the recent terrorists you will find they were middle to upper class, educated and well-fed. Some benefited from American and European organizations. They could afford to fly from country to country. They were treated as humans. Yet, they became radicalized against Westerners.

that's referring to terrorists targeting high-value targets in western countries.... typically suicide bombers.

not referring to "army" like ISIS, Taliban, Boko Horam, and many other extremist armies.... and also Somalian pirates....

so yes.... it is actually easy to reduce the number of poor people being forced or recruited into terrorist armies but the countries just don't care about long-term preventions. in refugee camps, the population mostly comprise of women and children because many able-bodied males leave the camps for jobs and usually never return back again. that's why we have illegals pouring into many countries or being recruited into terrorist armies.

all it takes to lessen the flow and expedited closure/reduction of refugee camps are education at early age and job offerings. but what makes it very difficult to do that simple action are ethnocentrism and xenophobia. wealthy nations are typically not very forthcoming in providing specialized aids to help the host countries as they're mostly engaged in conflicts.

my organization recently had an official recognition and support from Norwegian government as part of UN effort for refugees. the last I heard.... UK Prime Minister had expressed a great interest in it. USA is unfortunately not interested. a very sad part.

Has feeding and educating them turned around any terrorist army members from the dark side? I've read how many of the supposed "friendlies" turn on Americans and kill them after we've helped them.

those were not refugees who turned on Americans and kill them. they were villagers and locals.... probably lost their family members to collateral damage.

Education.... it has to start at early age in refugee camps.
 
Maybe legal Syrian refugees could replace Illegal Immigrants in America to do landscapes, cooking in kitchen back of restaurant, hotel maids, farmers, plumbers, auto mechanics... :hmm:

Maybe the mods should close this thread being some need to make this a Political and/or religious attack. Matter of fact, the whole thread is religious
when its supposed to be about refugees and Terrorist but somehow becomes a personal attack because of 2 who know everything....right?

What ISIS does about education:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is reporting that the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) has shut down more schools in Syria, leaving over 670,000 children without access to education.

“In addition to lack of school access, attacks on schools, teachers and students are further horrific reminders of the terrible price Syria’s children are paying in a crisis approaching its fifth year,” said UNICEF representative in Syria Hanaa Singer. “Access to education is a right that should be sustained for all children, no matter where they live or how difficult the circumstances in which they live. Schools are the only means of stability, structure and routine that the Syrian children need more than ever in times of this horrific conflict.”

The shutdown affects children in all grades, from kindergarten to high school. While the Islamic State has announced plans to reopen schools, the proposed curriculum will be “compliant with religious rules.” Mathematics, philosophy, and chemistry are considered “blasphemous” and the militants prefer classes only about Islam. Militants will retrain the teachers to exclude these topics from conversation.

In August, Islamic State jihadists closed a number of schools in northern Syria and banned some classic courses in others, replaced by “Islamic” education. Only a board of education “appointed by ISIS” approved new curriculum. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that, by November, the terrorists had completely eliminated all courses.

“Islamic State informed them that teachers shall undergo a religious instructional course for one month, and that Islamic State officials were currently developing a new curriculum instead of the current ‘infidel’ education,” said the organization.

Syrian children are not the only ones who suffer. Jihadists in Mosul, Iraq, shut down schools as well. Yasser al-Ebadi, an official in the Nineveh Education Department, told Bloomberg the militants controlled 95% of the schools and “will distribute books that will ‘focus on Islamic education, sharia and Islamic jurisprudence.’” Only women are allowed to teach girls. Teacher Maha al-Azzaqi, 33, said militants “threatened to punish any teacher who refuses to go to school.”

precisely why ensuring safety and security for schools are absolutely vital. many refugee camps have bare minimum or poor security. UNICEF is repeating what my organization has been telling them for decades.

UNICEF, World Bank, USAID, and Norwegian government are one of few long-time backers for my organization but unfortunately, the financial and political support are not good enough and are not consistent.

You claimed muslem nations have been taking refugees and are overwhelmed, indeed poor ones are, im simply asking what rich muslem nations are doing to help and take in muslem refuges. Besides spending millions and millions to buld mosques in target forign nations as well as spread their fath.
What does it matter?
It should matter to them,
Why is this our responsiblity if they themselves wont actually attempt to handle the plm? Unless motives are at work
