Hello! My name is Lex and I am a young lady who has recently and quickly gone from hearing to HOH. ("Normal" to moderate to in one year and expecting more loss.) I haven't been able to find anyone like me and many of the resources I find aren't translatable to my situation, so I've joined hoping to find a myriad of friends with different experiences who are willing to talk, prepare me for what to expect, advise, and hangout! Hopefully this is the right place for me.

Hi Lex:

At 23 I went to sleep in pre-op with virtually normal hearing and woke up in post-op half-deaf. That was awhile ago, seeing that you're a bit younger than my daughter, but if you ask, I'll try to think of things to lend insight.

So sorry to hear of your situation. You are in my prayers.

Welcome to AllDeaf.
