Grrrrrrrrrr

I am interested in learning more about this app. Is there more information we can read?

Would you also let us know when it is out so we can look for it?

As I get more information I'll be sure to post it. The app will be through Verizon but Accessible to all as I understand. The developer is still working with Verizon on some level to get it out there.

I had a foster aunt (really a cousin of my dad's that was raised by my grandparents until she was old enough to be on her own after school because her mother died when she was 2 and her dad had to work) who's husband was career military and thus even after retirement that had friends all over the country. Back in the 1970's she said that the worst place they came through as far as signs was right around the river between St. Louis, Missouri and Illinois. I don't think much has changed since.
Nope, that bridge is falling apart, they are currently working on it, but I think its a bunch of patches held together with asphalt now.

Be ready to buy new tires with the 3 foot deep pot holes.... seriously, millions of them. you can avoid one to hit 5 more.

yes, but what Im saying is people who rarely if ever travel, its like russian roulette to them. I know I hit a few wrong turns myself, and its even more confusion to turn back and try to figure out which way you came and need to go...lol

yea I know. makes me angry when I was in that situation. I uttered a tons of expletives and had violent thoughts (think ax and shovel)

My wife works for ATT, I will ask her about any apps, she pulled a list of HOH compatable phones before for me.. but since she is in another department she may not have access to all that info now, but she is in the high tech Techie stuff still,

Road rage much...lol
Yeah been there done that, hate it too, especiallt when you get right back on the same wrong exit or another wrong exit...gerrrrrr

Ok thanks everyone. lol i found GPS that was on sale from 150 to 50. Its still useful except country area it is uselss.

Not if its something I wont use, why take something that could benefit someone else who would actually use it?

Because what you don't use today, may be very useful tomorrow.

Take the relayIP, take the VP, grab anything that isn't nailed down.

it is actually useful for me in country area because -

1. it can show me the coordinates that will help me pinpoint where in the paper map
2. I can just put in a GPS coordinates that I want to go and it just points where (N-S-W-E)

but many people don't know how to use that feature in GPS lol. oh well.

and what does that have to do with this?
is there violence here?
Tanks for adding this. I didn't understand the comment because I saw your frustration but no anger and it is a "pissy" situation. Good frickin' luck, sonocativo. Sorry.

I also heard at times to turn off the wifi settings as it drains the battery faster when out and its constantly searching for wifi connections, just turn it on when needed and off when not using it. I have noticed at first my phone was at 40% or less by time I went to bed, when I turned the setting off my phone was still in the upper 80% by the end of the day.

You can either turn off data to save battery life and will be able to get calls. Or you can put the phone in Airplane mode and not get calls, text or email until you turn it back on. This will keep your battery full all day.

Like I mentioned earlier my wife is president of the ERG. This group helps to make policy for and inform Verizon of issues with the Fereral ADA Act of 1999. She has some inside info on new thing coming down the pike. She also works in the legal dept.

I assume that you are talking about 40/64 going across the Popular St. Bridge. What I have seen on TV seems to indicate that the problem is not the structure but getting the surface to adhere to it for a longer time.

I have lived in Southern Illinois from before there was a Popular Street Bridge. The lanes seemed so nice and wide when it first opened. Then it seems they kept connecting more and more highways to it and adding lanes by just marking more narrower ones on the same width surface.

So you got up at 6am, left your phone in wifi mode and drove 18 hours and got lost, popped out your iPhone hit the MAP app and "BLIP" phone goes dead... yeah we charge them when we go to bed. But not having a car charger or forgetting it isn't gonna save you now is it.....

I know from experience as my wife forgot to charge hers and forgot to bring her cord on trips and phone went dead... nothing is fool proof... even a glitch in the phone can happen... wwweeewewewewewwweeeeeewwwww, game over.

Oh and Jiro, you charge yours before you sleep or while sleeping?

I do not travel much but that also makes me think I am more likely to have to ask questions when I do. Thus, (to cut down on the possibility of what is mentioned in the part I have bolded) I have kept a car charger and cord in my glove box from the time I got my first cell phone and updated it as what phone I have has changed over the years. I have wall chargers and cords at home and do NOT have to switch one cord from home to car and vice-versa.

Thanks, Yes it gets tiresome after awhile when they know but act like they dont know.

People will talk at me and I will try to read their lips best I can but then they turn away and I tell them, you have to look at me, I cant hear you when you talk over there, I am here. And they do the same thing, seems as soon as they get to the same point they turn away again...
STOP ! Start where you told me this, I got the first part.... OMG really?
what pisses me most about those who do know about my hearing is, they MAY repeat once, but usually say, Oh just forget it, wasnt important and walk away... that irks me to no end... if it wasnt important then why were you trying to tell me in the first place? Bunch of ignorant people out there and some I dont talk to anymore. I ran into someone awhile back that I havent seen in ages, they were like "Hey, how you doing, havent seen you in a long time , why? I say, remember this? and they will ask remember what? and Ill turn and walk away, saying, it wasnt important...

Yes, my new iphone actually explains that when you go to that option, nice.

nope its the roads leading to the bridge, not the actual bridge, but the bridge does have pot hole issues as well... the roads leading to it are really jacked up from granite city all the way to the PSB.
