Lost an old friend

That is terrible and sad. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.

Her poor children; they lost their grandparents and now their mom. :(

That's sad. It's also one of the reasons it is important to have a will in place with guardianship for the children spelled out.

this so important, one of reasons i not sleeping this been going around in my head ages now.
it not always possible keep up with friends lives but it hits you hard when something like this happens and wish kept in contact, these days i trying to do that

I just happened to see the headline and I immediately seen the name, and I went to check facebook ( I went to school with 2 of her family members, one was gradeschool and the other was highschool ) which until today I didn't know they were all related...wow, small world. But I was the first to bring it to facebook, still no one knows why she was on the highway yet.
I dated Mona between 8th grade and into highschool, she was a great girl at the time. Her cousin told me she was having some issues and was getting her life back on track then this happened, but she didn't go into details yet... I know she did work as a security guard. Her kids are older, probly on their own already but still sad to lose someone so suddenly and un expectedly, and tragically.

My condolences. That's so sad, I hope that the family will be able to work through this, and her friends will be able to bond together and find strength in each other. It's hard stuff. I hope you're alright, and her family will come out of this in one piece. :(

Yes, Im alright, Its just sad to see another friend go. Had a real good friend in highschool lose his life delivering pizzas, he was robbed and shot for $20 and a pizza... just senseless murders, tragic accidents and bad health over the years.

Glad you're okay. I had a friend tell me once, deaths came in three. I thought to myself, how friggin morbid! Then I started paying attention, and was surprised even recently for myself. Had a co-worker die, then 4 days later my aunts sister and then lastly my friends mother 2 days ago. I have lost a few friends to stupidity and senselessness myself as well. A very good friend of mine 2 years ago was struck and killed by a 19 year old drunk driver on her 21st birthday. It was 11am, and she was on her way home from Church. Talk about messed up. So I know how it can be. :( Seems as we get older the worse and worse it gets. :(

I sympathize for the passing of your friend. Although I've lost 2 individuals to cancer, the fact that we can lose someone so traumatic and unpredictable makes our lives that more precious.

We have a local paper that comes out every Thursday and delivered ( Free to locals) it covers our county. News, updates and Fairs/local happenings, Obits....ect.... as well as sale ads and classifieds.

Back in May I was thumbing through and looking at the Obits just to see whats going on ( a lot of young kids and the elderly ) mainly car accidents.
Well, caught my eye was an old friend of mine that I haven't spoke to in a long, long time ( because his wife wont let him hang with old friends or his family...a total bitch ) Well, His dad passed away and I never knew, missed the wake and all... His Mom lives one exit from me, so I went to pay my respect, the man was a great man ( always went camping with them, worked on cars/motorcycles and he kept us in a straight line growing up ) I talked to his mom awhile as she lives alone since her husbands death. Come to find out, my friend didn't even attend his dads funeral because his wife refuses to let him visit his family... now that just straight up pisses me off, I know what Id like to say to his wife but Ill just let Karma sort out what she deserves. Short story is, Mr. S. was a great Father, Dad and Friend... I always looked up to him as he gave great advice, a helping hand, he was like a dad to me as I knew him.
Shame on his son for not paying respect to his dad !
