Teen Justin Carter Jailed In Texas After Making Sarcastic Threat In Facebook Comment

My friend showed me a picture from someone (facebook user) who post it was his ex-gf's privacy nude pix. He has been banned or arrested cuz, blackmail is illegal.
 
I agree. Nowadays, we can't joke anymore. The only ones we can really joke around with are our close friends... in person... in private.

"Hey, I farted so bad that the table next to me passed out! Hahaha!"

... a few days later, SWAT and ATF show up at my door...

"You're under arrest for use of a deadly toxic weapon! Get on the floor with your hands behind your back!"

California prisons are over crowded. Judges are fighting for a release of 10,000 inmates. They say they are not receiving proper medical care. Governor Brown is trying to put a stop to it.

I also question whether or not...they would receive "proper" medical care if they were released?.....

Of course, they'll be on their own.....or depending upon family/friends or the government to feed and house them and get on the waiting list for Medicaid, which in no means gives "proper health care"....Medicaid in a lot of cases is a joke....and what about Dental?....Medicaid doesn't cover that...so good luck in finding a dentist who will help without cash "upfront"....
 
I think in some states, felons aren't eligible for Medicaid, along with other welfare like SSI, food stamp, Section 8, etc.
 
There is freedom of speech, but in this case, a very poor choice of words, joking or not.

Somewhat akin to yelling "Fire" in a movie theater as a joke. Freedom of speech, but poor choice of words. What if everybody evacuated and someone got trampled to death?
