We have had maritime ice patrol to watch icebergs by air, satellite and ships off Newfoundland and Labrador for a long time.

Whenever the iceberg(s) is about to cross the shipping lane or offshore oil fields, they will be towed away from them by supply ships.

I got a few friends who are working there.

Even we dig blocks and pieces of frozen fresh water from icebergs and put them in large containers aboard large barges. They will be used to be part of the distillery process to make vodka. :)

I wonder if the ship will include state of the art electronics or be a true replica. I cannot help but wonder at the psychology involved from the monied up guy building it to the monied up people wanting to sail on it.
I guess when you have enough money to buy all the stuff you want it gets hard to find a way to really show people how outrageously rich you are so you do big look at me spend big money stunts.
I wonder if the big cruise ship will have the same old method of dumping sewage every where it goes. That would be a better spend of the money develop technology for genuine sewage treatment for cruise ships.
Here in Alaska we tried to force them to improve their technology so the billions of gallons of human waste they dump into the island waters would have no effect on the environment. They figured out how to buy the legislature instead- much cheaper.
Why do these rich folks want to invest in a big bad luck turd bucket ?

goddamn rich people

My son is a Titanic fan..he would love this but unfortunately, I cant afford it. A million dollars is a tad bit out of my reach.

I think all passengers pooled in together to a million dollar

And... I suppose it will hit an iceberg and sink!

Oh wait... here's the shocker... it's the exact same iceberg!!! :Ohno:

Never forget the movie, The Titanic...and all those people in the water..and the band still playing..."Nearer My God To Thee"......brought tears to my eyes....such a horrible way to die.

this was on the TV news yesterday, wow, so that's free advertising for him!

Well sure!! It's still there after all these years but listen... those four guys playing classical music ain't there anymore. They have passed on. This time it's gonna be the Biebs popping while she sinks.

He could turn it into a cruise ship and make millions back.
Lots of people are big fans of the romantic movie.

Few people are still around from the actual titanic sinking.
But it is still a serious tragedy.

Imagine if someone made a replica of the twin towers? :/

Its gonna run by Diesel instead of coal, wondering how big Diesel engine they are gonna have? Steering Titanic with Diesel is different, and easier than coal as I believe. So, it is not 100% replica of Titanic. The chances of me riding that ship? Very slim for sure... more likely never.
