(CNN) -- They came from all over, police say, and at least one carried condoms in his pocket.

A middle school teacher, a tourist visiting from Turkey, college students, a businessman from North Carolina. All of them were arrested in a week-long law enforcement operation, which ended Monday, that targeted men seeking sex with children.

About 16 Florida law enforcement agencies came together to create the ruse that the suspects were chatting online with children or parents offering up their kids for sex.

The men drove down to a pristine home in the city of Oviedo, about 19 miles from Orlando.

Footage released by authorities captured their surprise as their illicit date turned into a rough tackle by a posse of officers.

The black and white footage shows officers slamming the men against the wall of the home before cuffing them. At least one man led police on a brief footchase in the front yard before they took him down.

One of the men, authorities said, was a Florida high school English teacher who arrived at the decoy home with condoms in his pocket planning to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Before coming to the home, he sent photos of himself to the undercover officer, Florida detectives said.

"He said he had a lot to lose," Seminole County Maj. Dennis Lemma told reporters.

A middle school science teacher arrived, planning to have sex with a 14-year-old boy, authorities said.

Another man arrested was an elementary school interpreter for deaf children, investigators said, who had posted an online advertisement for a 13-year-old boy.

A school janitor also turned up, police said.

In all, 50 suspects where arrested. They ranged in ages of 19 to 60.

I don't think that going jail for long time isn't justifiable. Probably a couple years, BUT I see justifiable is mandatory lifetime sex offender registry, hope all of them will be required to report and register that they are sicko MOFO! And stay away from kids for good.

The reason why I don't think jail time of 2 or more year is not justifiable is because the actual crime has not committed, but qualifies for search warrant and investigation in possible of past crimes, and mandatory registry as well.

You'd be surprised. Many schools don't have this citing cost and time involved. All should though considering pedophiles travel....it makes it easy for this type of thing to happen when schools try to save a few dollars at the children's expense....sadly background checks aren't up to the state but to the employer.

All should though considering pedophiles travel....it makes it easy for this type of thing to happen when schools try to save a few dollars at the children's expense....sadly background checks aren't up to the state but to the employer.

All schools and daycare are required a local and FDLE background check and fingerprinting, in the State of Fl. The issue is phedos do not have a record until they are caught. Which is why I think these stings are awesome.

Wow, that is F* up... I'm glad they caught them! It just makes my F* skin crawl! You can't defend yourself when you're that young. I think we need to start following the Chinese model of justice... Maybe they deserve to lose EVERYTHING, not just a lot.

These stings show just how mental these people are. Can't control their impulses. Even after many many similar stings that get media attention these people still fall for the same old ruse. the sex registry will need a bigger serverTo handle all these cases.

The day cares and schools of our state require SLED background checks for all employees and interns. Even our private Christian school does staff background checks.

The weakness in background checks is that they only show if someone has a previous record. If a pedophile has not yet been caught, there will be no record. Pedophiles can go on for years abusing children without any criminal record. Just because someone doesn't have a criminal record doesn't mean that the person is clean.
