Newspaper Publishes Gun Owners' Names and Addresses

The newspaper staff directly responsible for this should be punished. Dare I say executed for treason? People should be asking for a trial and sentencing.

treason? did they leak/sell classified government information to American enemy?

it be in public records i would thought for anyone to read so what the problem, being totally ignorant about guns

then we should do same for any criminals.

but this is not conducive to any society. and whatever happened to second chance? this is not the kind of society I would want to live in.

We need to find a treatment to cure the criminal and turn into law abiding citizen.

..but illiegal weapons would not even be recorded duh!!....
That's the whole point, duh!!

People say they want to know who the gun owners are in their neighborhoods. Well, listing licensed owners lets them know only which law-abiding gun owners live in their neighborhoods. It doesn't let them know where the gun-toting criminals live.

criminals DONT show off guns...they HIDE it,

and not all, (probably MOST) licenced owners dont want everyone to know they own guns, its a kind of private thing you know, to possess such a thing that's designed to KILL...

DUH you back lol

then scrap the bloody liberties shit off, it thus far not working any longer in USA, after all its past due date now...american civil concepts need a re-think

The only way it would happen is with outside intervention (from outer space) with genetic reprogramming. Like it happened last time just before modern humans came on the scene, and the time before that...

The map indicates the addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. Each dot represents an individual permit holder licensed to own a handgun — a pistol or revolver. The data does not include owners of long guns — rifles or shotguns — which can be purchased without a permit. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location owns a weapon, just that they are licensed to do so.

What are the neighbors worried about? It looks like everyone in that area has a gun! Gasp!

Wow!
Is that a fact?

I have a question. If there's a gun license and a gun permit, what's the difference?

Is that a fact?

yes. I can buy as many long guns as I want anytime as long as I have a valid NJ Firearms Purchaser Identification Card.

just a thought to think about - since you are clearly clueless about current gun laws... don't you think you should learn about it first before you suggest more gun laws/controls?

No, I watch news on TV or read news on internet about gun control. That's all I need to know. Just let me be, OK?
