Vague and pretentious? I am a taxpayer and I am deaf. Gallaudet is a deaf university and funded by taxes. What is "vague" or "pretentious" about that?

I am working on an article....It wouldn't be very wise for me to give out a lot of details until it is done.

Quite frankly, IMO it is something the entire deaf community should be concerned about, as well as taxpayers and congress.

I don't have any "wants." My goal is to write a story.

Edit to add: My only hope would be that things work out for the benefit of each and every deaf person.

Based on my experience with deaf communities with fluent in ASL - the GLBT rights, including gay marriage is very well tolerance in their communities and the marriage is just personal choice so it doesn't matter to them. "It is just say - 'marriage just your business' in ASL format" I have never been bullied in deaf communities because of my sex orientation but I got horribly bullied in hearing communities. The deaf school in our state have plenty of gay and lesbian students and have some teachers, and staffs are gay and lesbian, despite about very backward state.

Just a polite interjection. You cannot pretend to know what TXgolfer's intentions are. I believe he is genuinely concerned about what is going on at Gallaudet University. For him to be writing an article shows he has devoted his time and thought to this issue. I do not think it would be wise, or prudent, to downplay someone who may be genuinely concerned.

Please, don't take this interjection to be rude - it is not meant to be.

Huffpost with article of Mccaskill signing (not captioned though) - she says that Gallaudet is a University that permits bullying and intimidation amongst faculty and staff, and amongst students. "Manages by intimidation and fear".
