sleeping trouble?!

Are the thoughts about probable outcomes (what if...)? Does your heartrate maintain a fast or strong beat for a long period of time?

no my HR is always the same I've checked that just to make sure its not abnormal or anything and I don't really think about outcomes just about certain new things happening at work or a new procedure or a celebration we have coming up

ew people drink epsom salt? no I put it in the bath lol

it magnesium sulphate,it taste awful, they use it for constipation and to dry milk up when breast feeding..it about one worse things i ever tasted but it works

Was your insomnia recent or recurring?

It's funny, I drank energy drinking and I can go sleep without stay awake. It was good nap.

I don't work out everyday ...right now about 3 times a week and my workout is mostly cheerleading in which I only practice myself once a week and then I bike and sometimes go to the gym so I'm not working out excessively or anything...

Oh, that is strange. I remember you used to work at night. Now no more right, did it affect your sleeping hours? i think it's so strange. hope doctor will be able to find out what goes wrong with your sleeping.

Worked late hours? She is probably getting used to transitioning to another time set, like jet lag.

I feel your pain :-( I wanna sleep too though lately my problem involves heartburn that wont go away and getting to the point where I feel pressure pain on my chest, feeling acid in my throat and issues breathing. Can't go to a doctor because I'm waiting for my insurance to be fully processed. Could go to the E.R. but I feel a bit silly going in over a heartburn matter. Least I think its heartburn.... I get this usually right before bed or right when I wake up. It's hell and been going on for years.

You should try to drink Sleepy Time Tea, particularly the one with Valerian root in it, you'll see that on the front of the package. Knocks me out sometimes.

you got hiatus hernia, when go to bed block up top of bed your top half higher than lower half of body, then get something called domperdon, try that for a week garantee feel better few days..
when i read about american medical insurence i so glad i have nhs..disgrace you can;t see dr because of it

OK so for the past 3 weeks I haven't been sleeping properly. I tried melatonin, didn't work. I tried a mild sleep aid from my doctor Rx and that worked for 2 days then I was back to not sleeping, Went back to the doctor and he gave me trazodone last friday..same thing..slept 2 nights fully through the night, and since then every other night I've gotten up at every like hour from having crazy dreams or just waking up for no reason and not being able to get back to sleep to tonight where I didn't fall asleep at all...I'm very frustrated at this point..

I just wanna sleep :'(

I take Xanax, but then I have anxiety so that's how I got Xanax. But I find just taking a mild dosage of it helps me sleep through the night. I was put on Ambien (Tiger Wood's sex pill) and the pill made me fall asleep, damn near on the stairs trying to walk up in my home. (I've read similar horror stories and worse about this drug - it's just a pill to help people sleep and I've no idea how it improves sex drive because that's not how it affects most people. A lot seem to have a really negative experience with the medication) The next day I was sick to my stomach and I called the nurse back and yelled at her for wasting my money instead of giving me what I asked for, which was significantly cheaper. She wouldn't, so I found another doctor that would. Never had problems or side effects.

Laura

Ambien is bad news. I can't recall how it affected my husband (in the hospital) but I eventually had them put it down as an allergy and each time it changed facilities (rehabs & hospitals), I made sure it was listed under allergies so they wouldn't give it to him.

Try drinking a glass of warm milk, then go and lay on your bed and read a book or read something on your iPad. Dunno, but it works for me. :dunno2:

How are you feeling today?

How are you feeling today?

Thanks for asking :) still iffy, the heartburn feeling is on and off, the pressure pain is going away now that I've got some allergy meds. I used to take Allegra which was amazing stuff for me and now apparently is useless to me :-( so I switched to Claritin. All I can really do for now and wait for my insurance to go through, but I suspect the pressure pain has to do with allergies. Heartburn is just an everyday thing for me now :-(

Glad you're feeling a bit better.

If I can't sleep, and it happens often...I get back on the internet and play some really brain-taxing games...close all the bedroom doors and do laundry or give the kitchen a real good cleaning....I've also been known to call friends (who I know are night-owls) late a night to chit-chat.....paint my nails, take a warm bath...list goes on and on....

All the time just knowing that I'm gonna feel lousy the next day due to lack of sleep...

If u feel heartburn, next time take aspirins. Sometimes wine helps to make me sleep or exercise if go there often that will make u tired right away in bed.
