I'm almost done with high school, My last day is on May 30th. Graduation is on June 2nd. I'm so excited! I will be getting my Cap and Gown on my last day of school. What i'm a bit nervous though is my Cap not fitting on my head due to my implants. Does anybody with cochlear implants have that kind of problem or something? That's kind of my fears for graduation, including falling up on the steps and embarrassing myself in front of a thousand people.
My interpreter has set up an another interpreter for me for graduation. My main interpreter's daughter goes to school with me and she wants to watch her graduate, which is understandable. She told me she has already set up this for me because she knew the school would be lazy and not do anything. So, she already did this part months ago. Which made my parents very happy. The day before graduation we have an mandatory practice ceremony and she will be interpreting for me and we're going to figure out where the 2nd interpreter will be standing/ sitting for me to be able to see her. Do you guys have any tips on that? What do you usually have the interpreter do for graduations?
I'm super excited. On tuesday, May 22nd i'm going to Ikea with my class for a field trip. Making my week a 4-day week and then we have a 3 day weekend due to memorial day. which means it's a short week for me! I can hardly wait. I want to leave high school! there's been so much drama and i'm sick of it!
