Police always asks a person if he/she wants to charge against another person. If the person says yes, then another person is sent to jail and police do paperworks. I think that's the way it works. I watched "Real Cops" on TV in the past.

Wrong, I didn't know that it happened until I heard about it. Actually that was not my problem, it was his.
 
Maybe it could be girl/wife is one who make male go insane and come violence. Who know?

Real life not work same like tv. Even "reality" tv.

Edit -- police not always ask this. Sometimes police friends man, say woman "now sweetheart you not REALLY want make trouble, right? He good guy. Just little fight, you ok". Because police not care.

You never watch Real Cops before? It is about real cops in action. They are not actors.

For example, People's Court or Judge Judy, are they fake or real?

why do you think the DV agency has been set up in the first place?

did you see a big print in COPS tv show - "All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law"?

Again - just because they got arrested does NOT mean they're guilty. It's cop's job just to arrest them and it's prosecutor's job to prove it in order to get them criminally-charged and imprisoned.

So until he is found guilty and charged by judge.... he is presumed innocent even if he gets arrested. that's why there's another criminal charge that if you falsely reported him, you will be charged with filing a false police report. That's what happened with many abused women. It's also why men can easily win case against women based on their history because their lawyers will keep reminding jury - "Filing A False Police Report"... Women's credibility is shot.

Usually I read about an EX-spouse's murder (ex: OJ), sometimes child(ren) getting killed, too because of child support. But I haven't read much about spouses' murders. However I know that any guy who abuses can be very dangerous so that's why we have cops. DV agencies send cops, don't they?

I am not familiar with DV or how does DV work or run. All I know is that if women need a safe place then go to DV to follow up what they need to do for protecting themselve but its up to women to make decision to make reports to the cops if they have evidences or brave enough to fight back with spouses.
My girlfriend works with DV.

Why should I be happy about it? How is it my business? It's of no concern to me.

Are you happy that they were found guilty of domestic violence? You should be so that they won't hurt people anymore. Right?

if women had to go to DV safe place... they're gone. disappear. forever. It's better that than dealing with lengthy legal procedure with no guarantee of protection.
