I am not talking about a laundromat! If you use the front loader washing machine they can't be open until it stopped , and if the laundromat is near a store you have time to do a quick shopping trip!
Well, in your case, since you are so "forgetful"...a "quick shopping trip" would probably last for hours....
If all the suggestions here still don't apply to you...try tieing a string around ur finger to remember....
First and foremost, the washing machines/dryers are not yours....you pay to use them, not leave ur clothes in them for hours or overnight....And for the life of me, I can't understand why you can't understand the meaning of "Being Considerate" of other people who need to do their laundry and have to wait and wait for you to come in and take your clothes out of the machine....
Their time is just important to them as your time is to you....
I'm sure the sign in the laundry room is just to warn and remind the tenants to be considerate of others, and take your clothes out when they are done....otherwise, if someone waits and waits for a machine that is already finished, but the owner of the clothes has not come to remove them...then throwing them on the floor or the trash can is "no big deal"....It's like saying that your clothes don't mean that much to you anyway to leave them in the machines after they are done....and you don't care if your clothes get stolen or thrown into the trash or the floor....
In some cases, people do have a valid reason not to take their clothes out of the machines when they are done....such as an accident, becoming sick, etc......That's why it's the best thing to do is to wait for your clothes to wash and dry....BE THERE, to make sure they don't get stolen or thrown in the trash....Bit if you're called away for an emergency, then have a friend come to get your clothes, or call the Condo management and explain the situation, and have someone go in to get your clothes and bring them to the office.....
That is....if your clothes mean anything to you....if not....then go around Naked...or go through the expense of buying new clothes.
