I went to the ER and complained of pains on my side and shoulder. They sent me back home saying it was a gallstone. I went home still in pain, vomitting getting weaker and weaker as the days went by. I finally gave in and went back to the ER. (5 days later) I could barely walk. Eventually passed out. They finally gave me a pregnancy test and did an ultrasound and Lo and behold. I was pregnant and my fallopian tube gave away. (that is when I started bleeding internally) Ectopic pregnancy, I was confused since I had my tubes tied 5 years ago and I still got pregnant. Dr. told me it happens from time to time. They admitted me in the OB and schedule a surgury for me. I had my right tube removed and a D&C and the blood lost cleaned out of my abdominal. After I woke up I was still sick as a dog. The nurse told me the Dr order 5 Units of blood. That is half of a person blood volume. I was not allowed to get up or sit up. They did not want me passing out again. Blood transfusion is a painful process. Imagine something from the freezer going inside your veins. It was cold and painful!! That night I felt better but had nightmares of dead people watching me under the hospital furniture telling me I stole their blood. It freaked me out so bad I told my Dr about the dreams. He thinks it was due to me being traumatized. This all happened Last December. I count my lucky stars that I am here and alive today.
