ah.... so you want to do this semantic thing... why don't I help out both of you poor confused souls?
FYI - veil does not mean a full-faced coverage. It simply means a piece of cloth to cover your face or to place on your head. I mean... the modern Catholic nuns you see nowadays... what is the thing they wear as head gear? veil, yes?
what happened in Georgia was a Muslim woman being asked to remove her veil. She got penalized for refusing to do so on religious ground.
Now - what's happening in France is that they're banning a type of facial covering. In this case... it just happened to anger certain group of Muslim people.
Semantic thing?
What is a veil? A cloth covering the head? No .. that is a scarf. Or, as Catholic Nuns would call it ... a habit.
Nice veiled attempt at semantics there.
