burqa in their ID
We're talking about burqa in public.
Photo ID requires your face to be photographed, not the veil. However, walking in public is not the same as having your picture taken for a photo ID.
you may have confused me with TXGolfer.
um... again - nuns are not covering their faces. try to read more carefully this time. I'm repeating myself 2nd time already. Let's not make it 3rd time.

Catholic nuns cover their faces with a veil.
So Catholic nuns cannot wear their habits in public?
Its a religious thing. Burqas have a significant religious meaning to Muslim women, it is part of their identity.
edit: I should have said jilbāb
Actually it is not religious, they have to wear clothes that hide the outline of their body and cover their head. They do not have to hide their face, they can show from forehead to chin, it's in the Koran.
what anti-Muslim hearings? in case you didn't read, this thread occurred in France, not America. and no I don't think their policy is dangerous.
beside - they are free to move back to wherever they're comfortable with. it's free country... but they don't get to make their own rule and they don't get to say - hey it's what I do back in my home country and so should you!![]()
