Exactly. Just like the Nazi posters with Obama's image, the cries of "Socialist" and "Communist", and all of the other moronic things that have gone on since he began campaigning. Despite it all, he won the election, and still has the support from the majority of the citizens of this country. Tells me the man has character, and is above all of this pettiness that is nothing more than thinly disquised racism. I know a bunch of white conservatives that would be much better off if they possessed his grace under fire.

Especially if such rumors and pettiness trample on one's rights as defined by the Constitution.

If Obama is thrown out of the White House on grounds of not being born in the USA despite no proof, it will send a message to the whole world that the Constitution is worthless for anyone with a dark skin or different from the majority of Americans. It will also give the impression that the the Constitution can be ignored when it inconveniences a political party or powerful people.

I consider the Far Right to be a grave danger to the Constitution given some disturbing trends. I remember at the start of Obama's Presidency, there was a movement to impeach him. I was like golly, if the Republicans don't like the guy, they can just get ride of him.

I also remember the impeachment of Clinton. While he did lie under the oath, I didn't think the punishment fit the crime. Had he done something similar to Nixon, I would have been for impeachment.

Skin color has nothing to do with Constitution. The whole argument is about Obama being an American born or not.

Are you sure that you've read the Constitution? Maybe you accidentally picked up Mein Kampf instead?

It actually pisses me off that you are associating not accepting wild rumors with NO evidence whatsoever with being against the Constitution. I highly value the Constitution but why does that mean I have to run with the mob and yell out "DOWN WITH OBAMA!" because of rumors? I am all for investigating and questioning things but this has been disproved over and over to the point where it's become quite sickening.

You wanna believe that Obama is this spy who was born in Africa/Iraq/Purgatory/Whatever. Fine. You go and do that, but to say that we don't give a hoopla about the Constitution because we don't believe the rumors like you do? Ugg...Frankly, I think you're sickening.

Constitution protects the people, of all kinds.

And there's no proof he wasn't born in the USA. Birthers keep bringing that up despite not being able to come up with proof which makes me question the actual motives the majorityof these people.

No President gets "thrown out of the White House . . . despite no proof" whatever the reason. Even when there has been proof of wrongdoing no President got "thrown out of the White House."

Well there are some people who seem determined to get rid of Obama hence my comment. At this point, I would hope no one would just get thrown out. But if the downward spiral of political nastiness keeps it course, that's what may happen.

Clinton got impeached. That's punishment enough.

It's strange how people get their panties in a bunch over Clinton lying about sex, while it is okay that another president lied to get us into a war costing untold misery and grief. Go figure.
