What did you learn today?

I learned that the new egg carts Tyson gave us are heavier and are one stack taller. It's a bitch moving those things when they are loaded down. I nearly filled one today and it was a workout pushing it from the gathering table to the egg room. I gotta pull it back out in the morning to put the last two flats I need on it. UGH.

but in two weeks you're a stackhouse, kicking everyone's ass.

The local Dunkin Donuts called asking when my daughter will be 17. They are anxiously awaiting her birthday so they can hire her. They have no one tall enough to get the donuts off the higher racks. All of then are 5' or 5'2", she is 6'4".

Seriously? Cool if so. Maybe employees take the leftover donuts home.

She is looking forward to it. Most of the people are of the Mexican or Guatemalan descent and they agree that they are "vertically challenged". :laugh2:

Well - It could be construed as that, but I--- well ---- ah crap - I really put myself there, didn't I?

Seriously, a lot of people ask her for help due to her being so tall. In this area, we have a lot of people that are shorter than 5'4". Either it's the ones from other countries, or it's the people who have been hit with osteoporosis. She gets stopped at the grocery store and at the library every week. It doesn't bother her until they start commenting on how she got so tall. Her reply is always "God made me this way, what's the problem?" Got to admire her for that. She has a lot of learning issues and has come a llooonnnngggg way to get to where she is now.

Most jobs here now are 18 anymore unless you are in school full time and have a work permit. With jobs so scarce, there isn't much for the teenagers. Now, something has come up and we may not be doing this. Have to wait and see.

I learned that the company hubby currently works for is not doing well and may be starting to cut hours.

i Notice rid on person! I am suspect to figure out serious!

That one can stutter using finger spelling. At least that was what it felt like tonight in class. Was having trouble getting my fingers to work right...on three letter names, no less. :)
