i will get new laptop what i chose good brand not nonbrand like gateway no way!!

mine chose will be HP laptop because good tech and lots of mores but i think will be whether i chose any types laptop computer

HP
Dell
Toshiba

you have suggestion idea i will grab laptop for my travel to KS this Sept 2011 i need laptop for facebook,AD,and lots of mores i need to....

my mom says good luck on my hunting laptop im been looking at office depot,walmart i would chose '17 laptop i think best buy will good one but i think i will whether chose decide i wanted buy..
 
I have a Toshiba and I like it pretty well, and it was on a good sale at Best Buy.
 
My HP laptop (Windows XP) worked well for me for many years.

I have a Samsung netbook (Windows 7) that works well for me now.

My daughter is very satisfied with her Dell (Windows XP) laptop that is still running strong.
 
I do have a ACER netbook with Windows XP and it runs well. I plan to get another ACER netbook with Windows 7 soon.

I had a Dell netbook with Windows XP from Purple Co. It does run ok ok, so I decided to sell it to someone a few weeks ago.
 
Man, I really want a laptop that won't overheat and shut down randomly like mine can on few occasions w/o using the cooler! >.<

My Dell did that. My Toshiba doesn't even need a cooler pad. Someone said it is because the Toshiba has Intel Celeron instead of AMD Athlon.
 
I have never used a cooler pad either. My laptops are all HP.

ever played a game on it, such as SimCity? I've been playing SimCity 4 for the past few days. Lol. i guess it caused the laptop to overheat, esp with multiple internet tabs open, files open, etc.

But you wanna talk about someone not sleeping at all? Ask Jiro. He's the champion in this area. Lol.

A 17" laptop is going to be heavy to carry around very much.

It's AMD issue. It's famous overheat easy and poor battery life than Intel. That's why many companies pick Intel over AMD.
The AMDs are okay for desktops but laptops.

Ugh. I'll keep that in mind when I get a new laptop eventually, unless AMD eliminate the heat issue.
