AD Server Upgrade & Downtime - Tonight @ 12 AM EST

The dedicated server AD is running on was recently upgraded with additional 2 GB RAM and SA-SCSI 15K RPM hard drive.

The extra gigs of memory will improve overall server performance, and the new hard drive will give the MySQL database more space for 2011 (already @ 68% full).

The MySQL database will be moved to the new hard drive tonight at 12:00 AM EST. There will be a brief downtime during the process.

So, the new server specs will be:

Dual Processor Quad Core Xeon 5430 - 2.66GHz - 2 x 12MB cache
Dual Processor Quad Core Xeon 5430 - 2.66GHz - 2 x 12MB cache
6 GB DDR2 Registered RAM
147GB SA-SCSI 15K RPM Hard Drive (files only)
73GB SA-SCSI 15K RPM Hard Drive (database only)
CentOS 5.x Operating System

Alex, in the interest of saving space, bandwidth, money, etc, why not purge all data 2 yrs old?
