I don't know how he planned to carry out his threat. He was drunk, after all. They were in left-turn lanes, next to each other. The guy yelled a lot of obscenities and stuff in addition to shouting, "I'm going to kill you!"btw Reba - how was he threatening to your hubby? wanting to fist fight?

It isn't still very gun friendly policy to me.
I prefer to drive the car over ride the train.

The light changed, and Hubby turned. The other guy turned, too. The road that Hubby turned onto is a dead end. He pulled into the place where he was going, went into the building, finished his business, and came out. He thought the guy had driven past. No. The guy was sitting in his car in a lower section of the parking lot, waiting.
(We found out later that the guy was in a bad mood because he had already been in an altercation at the gas station before he escaped to the lane next to Hubby.)
I should let him tell the rest of the story.
I will add that Hubby was driving his big work van, so it wasn't easy to make U-turns or other avoidance maneuvers.
Sounds like he should have been shot. KILL HIM. KILL HIM!
GO USA!
GO USA!

Huh?
simply look at rest of 40 other states that are gun-friendly too. Take a look at PA (Philadelphia) vs NY/NJ (NYC/Camden).
I think that's a pretty dang strong argument right there.![]()
Um..... did you even adjust for population?
From your sources
Even just murder itself:
PA: 348 deaths = .23 deaths per 100,000 people
NY: 597 deaths = .07 per 100,000 people
I even checked the other numbers, NYC is STILL lower when adjusted for population.
Am I missing something?
yes....
Please tell. I'm genuinely curious.

OK, we won't wait for TCS.sounds like TCS called the law on him. can't wait to hear more. the suspense! :Ohno:
OK, we won't wait for TCS.
TCS saw the car but it looked empty, and he wasn't 100 percent sure that it was the same one, so he continued driving down to the next building where he was doing some work.
A little later, there was a knock at the door of the building. It was our assistant pastor! He saw the guy from the car walking in the parking lot and stopped to talk to him. It turns out they are neighbors, from the subdivision at the end of the dead-end street. In their chat, the pastor found out about the earlier altercation at the gas station. Apparently, the guy was still fuming about that and took it out on TCS.
So, the pastor was able to talk the guy into going home. The pastor said he will try to talk to the guy later. He didn't turn him in to the police but if there is any further trouble, he knows who he is and where he lives.
TCS is going to buy a pepper sprayer to keep in the van.
He's going to talk it over with the guys that work at the gun shop where we shop and shoot for recommendations. It also depends on what's available.oh wow..... what I just read here is definitely a divine intervention....
One thing about pepper spray thing. Pepper Spray and MACE are actually 2 different things. Both are patented names. Because of frivalous and silly self-defense laws in NJ... I had to researched deeply into this whole pepper spray thing. I learned something interesting.
Pepper Spray is an aerosol spray... which is a bad news because of a blow-back by a slight wind. and it's a lachrymatory agent... which is also a bad news. It burns only if it gets into mucous membranes... like on eyes and inside the nose. If it's on skin contact - it won't do much.
MACE is what the police uses. I think I'd recommend a Triple-Action MACE. It is a combo of Tear Gas + OC (Pepper Spray) + UV Dye (for police to check w/ black light if captured). The best part about MACE is a stream spray pattern - no blow-back. It performs 2 functions - burning on skin contact and irritating mucous membranes.
All of my MACES expired a few months ago so I played with it just to see what it's like. I had the jogger version. It's nice and small. If your hubby's hands are big and bulky like Paul Bunyan... definitely not the jogger sizePerhaps your hubby should consider getting the Bear Spray just for intimidation factor.
I have girlie handsHe's going to talk it over with the guys that work at the gun shop where we shop and shoot for recommendations. It also depends on what's available.
I'd say his hands are medium size.![]()

I know the feeling...I hope I never get in contact with pepper spray; it would probably kill me. Because of my weird sensitivities, I go into coughing fits if I even swallow a black pepper grain the wrong way.
