Why do conservatives hate sick people?

When I get heartburn I just mix a couple spoons of baking soda into a half glass of water and drink it. Works every time.

I drink Coke because Pepsi causes global warming AND acid reflux

I drink Coke because Pepsi causes people to get overly excited with irrational display of intelligence.

and our state Medicaid won't cover if I go to see doctor in DC area, of course, I will be student at Gally in July 2011 and I'm going purchase a college insurance when dependent age passes.

How much difference is between a college insurance and other insurance? I am not sure that a college insurance is somewhat waste of money.

How about if you could apply for a Medicare?

I was prescribed Nexxum by my doctor, but it was so expensive. So, my doctor said let's try Omeprazole (50mgs)...it works great! And with my insurance, only cost me $7/month.
I took it daily (as prescribed) for several months. Then, every other day...cutting back less and less....the only time I take it now is when I eat spicy foods, such as pizza/spagetti/ Italian foods. Works for me....and is a lot cheaper.

poor you guys. I'm wondering, how did you get those stomach conditions?

I have the feeling it's the stress and anxiety. Just my hunch. I cannot prove it but that's my gut feeling (pun intended).

That's an old-tyme remedy. Tastes awful, but never worked completely for me. So when I was having acid reflux, then I needed a doctors prescription.

Heartburn and acid reflux are different. As for my boys, I keep Pepto-Bismol in our meds cabinet all times whenever they have an upset.

I can't get Medicare because I don't work so enough.

I have two choice.
1) Purchase a insurance under Gallaudet University

or

2) Live off campus in DC or Maryland to apply for Medicaid in those area.

"Old-tyme." I like that. :)
My grandfather once told me that in his youth, folk in Brooklyn used to crush roaches and mix them into water for headaches. Can't get old-tymer than that!

Stress, ulcers, anxiety, spicy foods, alcohol, smoking...long list...my guess is that it was stress, along with an ulcer. But I'm doing fine now. But I will not eat spicy foods without taking my meds first! Acid reflux can be/is..dangerous to ur stomach and esphavous (sp)....

:dunno: Mine developed in the last few years (in addition to hives, thyroid problems, and high blood pressure; I hit 56 and everything started going to pot.)

Sounds like planned obsolescence at work. :(

wow, so i guess you were stressed for your whole life to get acid reflux as you get older? But how would you explain Foxrac's case?

and btw, I love eating spicy food, ever since I was young...but I don't seem to have any problems with those spicy food?

Ahhh, the innocence of youth. Wait till you get older.

Prilosec is ineffective to me due severe heartburn so are many of anti-heartburn medicines since Nexium is most effective to me so results are varies from person to person.

Nexium and Prilosec are not same, they are work in different way and different side effects too that I experience with both of this medicines.

Eliminating your heartburn would be:

Eat an ice cream - for some people.

Banana. Apples. Broccoli.

Unsure about a yogurt due dairy food.

Eat your food slowly without pressure in the stomach.

Avoid caffeine, onions, tomatoes (added a little sugar in sauce which is ok - my father told me about it).

I heard that a tea might be helpful.

Chewing a gum temporarily (??).

Probably need more walking.

Wear light clothes - perhaps, you would rather to wear a thong walking around on the campus. ha ha.

Anyway, you should write down the food to narrow your problem.

It's funny - my mom said she doesn't understand why her friends her age (she's 62) complain about health problems while she feels better and happier than ever in her entire life despite being morbidly obese and having ankle implant. Lucky her. I hope she continues her happiness for the rest of her life.

Already did in 2006-2007 but not much different so I have to take strong PPI drug, like Nexium for rest of my life due severe heartburn and only changing the diet is improve the gastritis, that all.

I can eat any of diets what I want while on Nexium but have to limit the greasy food, drink soda so slowly in moderation and eat any food in moderation.

Never!! I'll continue well into my prime and then age gracefully without health problems into old age, just like most asian women :P :P :P. My mother is still hot at 50 years old without any health problems but looks 10-20 years younger than her age, so I hope to be like her appearance-wise in older age. ^__^

I agree that Asian ladies age gracefully. At least I notice that in my circle of friends. :)
