480p will be accept than rather 720p
because not everybody have excellent high speed to meet on upload stream
 
Not only that, the frame rate needs to be good in order for me to read lips as needed. Also there is a issue with audio lip sync that can be distraction in certain cases.

Megapixel is for digital camera only. It is not really for video.

VP200 use VGA same like iPhone 4's front camera. I thought you knew about VP200 since you worked for Sorenson before.

I know about them. I m meaning that next gen Sorenson videophone should be 1280 x 720 p for HDTV. I dislike 480p because video is too wide.

720p and 480p are wide. You can change mode to standard picture as you wish for tv.

Well, I dislike two black sides each end on standard screen of HDTV.

480p doesn't mean, it's only 4:3. It can be 16:9

That mean, no black bar either on top or side.

there are several different type of format on display over size and resolution
 
Interesting... That videophone looks crispy and good video quailty than my VP-200. Just like do it youself at home better than VRS installer alway nosey and snoop around my home. grrr!
