HD Videophones will be coming?

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Epix (i907))

I think it won't happen anytime soon for the deaf community because of the affordability for higher speed internet with HD videophone use. It will be probably improve to 480p instead of 480i on current devices. It could have hdmi video out option, too.

P.S. 480p is not classified as HD.

Bandwidth Cap

Not Good for HD Cam because “Bandwidth Cap” is limit, I use vp-200 with 256k/256k about 1 hour = 1GB, some HIS limit TWC is 40GB, Camcast is 200GB, some HIS 40GB, 100GB, 200GB etc..

if 1.5m / 1.5m or 3.0m / 3.0 you will lost count then more bills

Cisco cuts pricing on HD home video conferencing

Cisco Systems said today that it will cut the price of its consumer video-conferencing product called Umi.

The product, which first hit the market in October, will now come in two versions. The original product, which transmits video in 1080p resolution, will cost $499 instead of $599. And the company will offer a $399 version that offers 720p video resolution. There will also be a free software client available for PCs and Macs later this year.

The service will be reduced from $25 a month to $99 for the year or $9.95 a month.
