A lot of these "blonde" jokes originated as Newfie jokes due to the offensive nature of it. However, now the blondes are being offended on a daily basis and not the Newfies.

Well, I'll have to agree with you. I have noticed that a good number of the jokes posted here, I would imagine to be offensive to some people here.
For instance, the gay jokes. Some of these jokes raised some eyebrows.

Ummmm....I think my jokes are pretty juvenile compared to what's been posted in the Adult section, and no one complains. And most of my jokes (to me) are too "tame" for the Adult section. The Blondes and Pollack jokes have been around for years. Very seldom do I post a Blonde joke, (even tho' I'm a blonde), but they are no offense to me....A joke is a joke, take it or leave it, or just don't read it! I've seen some jokes posted that were or could be offensive to some....so I just don't respond. Some jokes I just don't catch the punch line.....
Nothing wrong with a chuckle here and there.....no offense meant to the Pollacks....and surely, the Pollacks have a lot of jokes on us!...Ever heard the expression..."can't you take a joke"?....and let it slide.
Then again. if my jokes are offending any of you, let the Mods know....I've never had a warning, never been banned. But it's ur right to complain to the Mods. The expectations of my posting a "joke" to please everyone, and be "squeeky clean" about it are absurd.....

I wouldn't know; I don't look at any of the "Adult" threads.
"Blonde" isn't a race, nationality, ethnicity, or religion.
You wouldn't post a "Jap" joke, or "n***er" joke, or "Jew" joke would you? That's the same thing.
If it's a funny joke, why not just say, "a man" without designating a nationality?

j/kI agree. No need to perpetuate stereotypes. If, however, a joke deliberately uses a stereotype in order to poke fun of that stereotype, or draw attention to a deeper, underlying meaning, then I don't mind. Dave Chappelle did a pretty good job at this. Not always, but he did have some great stuff. Anyone recall the "Black White Supremacist" skit? Hilarious! And also thought-provoking.

I love the jokes RockinRobin posts...I have a very sarcastic sense of humor so the more outrageous they are, the funnier they seem to me. hehehehe

We both have thicker skins than some. I worked in a man dominated field for most of my life, so I have heard it all.
Every now and then RR posts a joke that makes me cringe a bit...
