In this situation, which will get you further in life? By further, depending on your definition: Money, fame, power, brains, whatever.

Good math skills, or good english skills (written & comprehension, and/or speaking)?

:hmm:
I picked "other."

Like you said, it depends on one's definition of success.

english or math? I suck at both and I am very successful in my own live. My husband has learning disability and he uses common senses to make success. I do not see people who is expert in english or math know how to fix cars or be handy man around the house. My oldest son is gifted and excellent in English ( scored top 2 in national in Englosh when he was senior at high school) does not know how to fix his own car so he hired his little brother who also has ld to fix his cars and trucks. Please. This thread does not make any senses. Strange when my husband went to SS court for his disability with his back problem and his judge told my husband that my husband is higher than judge himself (judge level as 12) because of his skills and experices. No one hire him because he is over qualified on everything which it is true. Only thing stop him from being living a full life living with bad back and chronic pain. It can happens to everyone.

I don't care what area that people are stupid in because each of us has potential to contribute something to the humanity - the idea.

If my English/math sucks or I never graduated from high school... I most likely will be cleaning your toilet and sweeping the floor but if I inspire this person - my kid or somebody's kid or whoever..... to be a better man who can make a big impact on people's lives... that's just awesome.

Here's $5 to clean my toilet. Thanks in advance for your service.

What you need to be successful in life is that certain thing between your ears to be working properly.

I voted "other" because "both" wasn't available. Both are skills that are used everyday in life.
