Over $13 trillion in debts and continuing deficits for the first time that goes into the trillion plus dollars range in 2009 and into 2010. Plus the ballooning interest owed each year approaching $600 billion dollars and will continue to go up. And that there be less countries to borrow money from with China being at the top of the lenders' list with over $1 trillion owed (plus interest).

Yeah, we're in a slow freefall.

But seriously, do you really think he has all this power you may or not imagine he has? He is a nice guy, I think you wil agree with that, but I get the distinct impression he is under the gun. He does not make his moves without the approval of those who advise and watch him. To me, it is same old, same old, and I think you are yelling at the wrong person when you yell at Obama. *shrugs*

I know that. I admire him as a person and I feel sorry for him. I really think he isunder the gun for many reasons. Of course I could be wrong.

You could be, and so could I, but I honestly don't think so. He has had a tougher way to go than any President in recent history. Including other Dems. That is why I constantly wonder: What is it about Obama that is so different from others? What makes him such an easy target for claims of socialism, Communism, racially overtoned parodies, etc.? What makes his actions so much more open to criticism than any other President in recent history? The answer is obvious.

The man inherited a huge mess. Gawd knows it can't be remedied over night.
And in regard to his golf dates: anyone checked the number of times Bush played golf right after 9/11?
