It reeks of paranoia, disillusion, and dissociation. I mean.... what? And the Deepwater Horizon oil rig being insured for more than it was worth (conveniently just enough to pay what was demanded by Obama).

2. and made rig workers to sign statements....
3. and had Coast Guard as BP's "private security guards" to prevent the volunteers from entering the zone to save the sea turtles since each dead sea turtle (endangered species) is up to $50,000 fines.
4. and moved very slow on clean-up effort and compensation for people
5. and hired Dick Cheney's PR guy to make BP looks good to public
6. and Hayward selling most of his stocks

hhmm.... smells like BP's ulterior motive to drill more by eliminating federal obstacles.

think big picture. think chess. think long-term business strategy. it's a sinister sinister world out there.

Major corporations' primary goal is to make money. lots lots lots of money. Corporations do not become major corporations of the world by being nice. BP is the #1 oil company in Gulf of Mexico but its profitability is being hampered by federally-protected zones.

typical reason - "It's cheaper to pay fines/settlements for greater profits." All they need is a scapegoat and clever PR tactic. oh and lots of money to pull it off.
