I am thinking about my 2nd chance on my driving test tomorrow at 1pm. I am nervous, but I got my mom to approve my parallel parking & 3-point turns. My mom has been driving for over 35yrs. So it feels really good that she thinks I will be good.

Please everyone keep me in ya prayers & thoughts. I don't wanna pay for more tests.

GOOD LUCK!!!! you are in my prayer & thought. :D

I'm wondering...should a couple of 5 year old kids (one just turned 5 on June 10th and other will turn 6 on July 1st) go to bed at 9 pm even when school is out? They have been going bed at around midnight every night. What's your opinion on that? My gf says that they usually do that during summer months, hmmm.

Hm. I'd like to think every kid should go to sleep at 9-10pm for days the normal school year is in session.

But after knowing a lot more now, each (adult) person's body is different and has varying hours of bedtime per each person.

12am on an elementary school day sounds kind of late though. I wouldn't need to be doing such a thing until the extensive high school courses.

I have bowling tonight - and I feel sleepy. It has been a busy day at work. I am at home and I cant believe my bedroom is bloody cold! :cold:

I was saying, not during school.

I'd suggest posting this question in the parenting forum

I wouldn't let the kids stay up that late except for special occasions (birthday, wedding, etc...). A +1h on the usual bedtime feels adequate enough to me while on holiday/vacation :D Anything else for me is just so that the parents can get their decent sleep in the morning without thinking about the consequences it might have on their children.

My opinion? Kids always do better when they are kept to a consistent schedule and structure.

well, it's up to every parents decision if they have plans for kids activities the next morning. If they have no problem getting up, or behave well during the morning and afternoon without fussy or so. Then let them be as long as they behave ok at night. If they have problem getting up or anything then encourage them to go to bed early like one hour early than their usual stays up so late. Just working on kids' hours of sleeping on a daily basis to adjust that kids behaves well the next day. =? It takes a lot of patience.

True. sometimes kids can't help that kids couldnt sleep at night Get something to keep them busy and worn kids out that put kids to sleep well. My goal is to get kids so busy during the whole day. So they will get knocked out . If they get boring all day then they would stay up at night. :thud: dang! :giggle:

At that age my kids needed to go to bed at the early hour, or they were hard to deal with the next day.

As they got older, they did stay up later in summer.

I am off work for the entire summer due to budget cuts no work :(
