My ex didn't want to bring Cody because he was preoccupied with his 'girl toy of the day'... sigh, he wasted a perfect father-son bonding weekend that's for sure.

So, we're camping in my apartment instead. I'm buying marshmallows & hot dogs. We're building a fort in my room after we go on a "hike" at a nearby park lol. Should be an eventful weekend indeed!

Oh boy... I have to agree with all the other AD'ers who have commented on your post! Cody is such a lucky boy to have ya... I'd come play along with you (I hate the real one) 'cause it sounds like you'll be having an awesome time together! Happy mother & son bonding!!!!! :cool2:

I absolutely hate going shopping for a bathing suit... I need to try on at least like a thousand before one actually fits... unless I can mix two different sizes for bottom and top which usually isn't done here and hard to find a store that accepts this kind of thing!

Jinxed, ya are really a good mom to make the best of something with your son and really, his dad need a hardcore kick in the bum for that.. I'm sure ya will have to do more to make your son happy for a long time to come.. and he will be grateful to have ya around for that..

I am sooooo tired and sore from my day at Kings Dominion yesterday. I cant move my neck because it is badly bruised from that one roller coaster with negative G-forces.

I didnt get to see any performances due to trying to accodomany my kids' needs.

It was a great day!

Sounds like fun! Although I'm not a very good bowler...except with WII. I can kick butt with WII bowling!:giggle:

My day isn't planned for much fun. Gotta catch up on chores around the house I let go because of a busy week last week. Not a lot of fun, but I will feel better when I get it done.:P

Yea, went to Kings Dominion for Deaf Awareness Day with my family and friends.

I didnt really spend much time with my kids. My daughter went off with my friend's kids and my hubby took my son to hang out with his deaf friend and her family.

I spent most of the day with my brother and my friend's deaf brother when I thought I was going to spend most of it with my friend and the other women and the kids. Just happened due to circumstances.

Not what I expected to be but it was fun.

Glad you had a good time! Its nice to have some time with your brother without kids and hubby, I think. I know you two are especially close and need time with each other like that. Yep, daughter getting to that age when she would rather be with friends than Mom and Dad! And hubby was thoughtful to take Nathan to spend time with his friend and give you a break. Just take care of those sore muscles, today!:P

He wasnt being thoughtful because he HATES roller coasters so that's my advantage! We went there 2 years ago without kids and I had to beg him to ride with me on one...after getting on one, he refused to go on any more for the rest of the day so I ended up going on them alone. No fun because it gets so boring waiting in the long lines.

Yea, my daughter hates roller coasters too so she spent most of the day at the waterpark.

My son went on the kiddie rides and my hubby told me that he kept going on the little roller coaster again and again and again so there is hope for me in the future to have someone join me! :D

My neck is seriously hurting..I hope it is not a mild whiplash. I cant touch it..it is tooooo tender to the touch. Like someone beat me up or something.

Here I was trying to give him a break and say that he was thoughtful, and he is just a big, old, scaredy cat!:lol: You know, I have often thought that Nathan had a lot of you in him from the things you say, and the stories you tell about him! He sounds like a little scrapper to me!:giggle:

Yea, he is so cute and so smart. My daughter helped herself to Cup o' Noodles and it was the last one. My son said he wanted one so I told him to get one thinking we had more. He went to the kitchen and brought a coffee mug and a package of Ramen noodles. I laughed so hard. Where does he learn these things? :lol:

haha glad you had fun! we went to darien lake recently. My boy is almost 7 and love to try anything risk rides. :shock: He is like my hubby. some rides that we can't get on due to my boy's height is too short. My girl dislikes some of the rides but sometimes she has no choice but along with us. Im sure that your boy will hit his age where he is so ready to ride with you! :cool2:

Jillio , I am not a good bowler at all. It was a deaf fund raiser for domestic violence and have fun. Hope you enjoyed your day relaxing and catching up on house chores :)
