No, he cannot. If he's a non-drinking alcoholic then that's discrimination but if he drank on job, it's illegal.

if he/she is in a rehab program, they are considered disabled.

I think if you are unemployeed and don't have cobra, I think you apply for medicaid until you have a job.

What of my significant other?

He has a part time job, his employer does not offer insurance.

If he is not eligible for medicaid, then he has to pay out child support x2
Social Security
Medicaid
State and Federal Tax
and now....

The insurance.....

He doesn't make enough.

and he has a house to pay for, property tax, payments for his truck, insurance on his truck, school fee's, electricity, and gas.

Groceries, household items, cleaning supplies, and other things.

We already cut back on A LOT of things. We live in a house that is so old that the kitchen is sinking into the ground. Now we can't do anything about the house, and I am working to have my children put into my care. I feel that I can't fix the house to make sure my sons live in a good home, now because we don't know how this bill is going to affect us.

That's why I am on a fence just watching and waiting. While the bill has good parts to it, I don't agree to some of it.

I believe that rapidly growth of Wal Mart and bigger stores have contributed to hurt the small businesses, especially many local groceries are killed after Wal Mart opens the store that nears to regular grocery store. Always blame on democrat for poor job to save the small businesses are not exactly but partly so yes because of higher minimum wage and lacks of tax break but inflation has going up so making $5 per hour isn't enough to meet basic life needs, at least that you will qualify for Medicaid if make $5 per hour, depends on state, in my state, only anyone make less than $1050/month at gross income to qualify for Medicaid and possibly Section 8 Housing.

If gas price was $1.50 so it would going be easier for us.

Additional, back in 1960's, there was many small businesses so I believe.

I understand. I also understand that people sometimes have to work two jobs just to make it. two part time jobs would be hard to prove that you can not get insurance from your job.

My son has severe allergy, food and other things. so severe that he get an infection often. Right now he need to see an pulmologist because we don't know whats wrong with him. He is ok, but whatever it is, it not going away. I have to spend money making sure i get fragrance-free products, make sure our dog have frequently bath, filter, humidifier, anything that make his food egg and nuts free. These things are not cheap because it is considered a luxury just like our hearing aids.

This has been the point I am trying to make. I am not trying to tell you what to think ... I am trying to show you that you should research things for yourself, find out if its actually true, then form an opinion based on fact.

In politics, there is too much BS. Most of it is propaganda. Politicians will ALWAYS have a hidden goal or agenda. It is very important to question what those goals and agendas are and to NEVER take what a politician says at face value.

Check the facts out. Do not rely on "well someone told me so it must be true" to form opinions.

I hope this helps you out man ;)

I learn something new everyday and I am wrong a lot too because I can fall into the same trap everyone else falls into. I have learned over the course of time that politicians are liars. All of them.

You just have to take the bad with the good and hope the good outweighs the bad.

I'm not going let politicians to fool at me if they are pro-GLBT or not so I will check their voting record, even if both of opposites are anti-GLBT so I would have vote on other issues that whatever I agree.

Alabama is 3 party election, it means 2 republicans and 1 democrats can be run for November, for example, such as Bob Riley (R), Roy Moore (R) and Arthur Davis (D), all of them are anti-GLBT so I have find anyone who is less extreme, such as Roy Moore is one of most extreme conservative so Bob Riley followed and Arthur Davis at bottom but... if you don't want Roy Moore to win so you should vote other republican to make Roy Moore to lose from election, that's recommended like Bob Riley won the reelection in 2006 against Roy Moore, it was big victory for moderate/conservative Alabamians whoever isn't super religious since Roy Moore is more attracted to extreme conservative and super religious.

In past, I was against on mandatory insurance coverage but I wanted public insurances to be available to anybody whoever couldn't afford to purchase an private insurance or denying/canceling from coverage because of pre-existing condition, genders or medical history, or other alternative to have health insurance that what congresses have one at cheaper rate.
