DDT did a good job of keeping malaria down before it was unnecessarily banned. It's a matter of using it appropriately. And it's a myth about how it affected the integrity of egg shells of birds.
By single handedly banning DDT it caused more deaths unnecessarily into the millions than any irresponsible organization could hope for to be named as the unknown mass murderers in the name of environmental politics.

DDT is very bad and more damage than being good because it did harmful to wildlife animals, even humans too.
It is good reason about DDT is banned due environmental and health safety.
I disagree with you over myth about affect birds, it did already affected bald eagles so when after DDT banned and bald eagles boomed.

eh only to a certain degree
I don't have any idea about what are you talking?
In fact, US banned usage of DDT in 1972 and farmers have use different pesticides for crops, don't know about what kind but nothing is trace of DDT, even it is still illegal for use pesticides that contain a trace of DDT, it has nothing with secret because we never heard about it.
well - it is ok for you to name this thread as "Deadly WMD" but I think it is very unethical of you to rename the title of article you linked especially since you're a blogger. I suppose we were right after all that bloggers do not abide by a certain code of ethics that actual writers do?

read my post again. where exactly did I talk about ban? That's not what I talked about in my post. I said "to a certain degree." Do you know what that means?
It appears that you can't resist going into debate mode on some threads. You make a statement like this and for sure there will be debate going on for a while. I wonder if you live to debate things.DDT did a good job of keeping malaria down before it was unnecessarily banned. It's a matter of using it appropriately. By getting rid of DDT based on a lie and political correctness caused the deaths of millions of people in Africa.
Only because I got reminded when somebody mentioned the West Nile virus did I remember about DDT and Malaria in Africa.
DDT is the single most effective insecticide control against the spread of Malaria in Africa. By getting rid of DDT based on a lie and political correctness caused the deaths of millions of people in Africa. The prevention on the use of DDT killed rather than helped.
