No Saturday Mail?

Cool,
Now I won't get any bills on Saturday.

One of reason why I order and have them ship to my workplace. It's pretty much safe.

That's good for people who have a job or work out of the home. For those who have their own business, are retired, or just not able to work, they have to have home delivery or delivery to a PO box.

Right. Hubby and I don't have places of business, so all our deliveries are at home.

Many businesses won't deliver to P.O. boxes.

UPS and FedEx international shipping price is too expensive. USPS Priority shipping price is cheap. but delivery service is slow over 5 days or more. This cheap price is worth.

I guess it depends on what you ship. When I have a club go dead or break (thats what I normally ship) and I need to know that the new club will be there before the next tournament round......cost is a minor issue.

Well, I don't accept any international shipping from USPS because of nigerian scammers love to use USPS. I remember about sell my laptop on cragslist and they asked to ship to Nigeria via USPS so I said no USPS and they left because they know that I can stop the shipping via UPS or Fedex after I realize that payment isn't clear so had call UPS/Fedex to recall the shipping.

USPS done the same thing to me too. that is, leaving packages in the front door if it doesn't fit in the mailbox. In fact, I was upset when I found out they have been giving my mail to my relative next door because of the snow. I told him not to do that anymore. AND I keep getting other people's mail and packages.
If you do not want your packages deliver to your house, you ask your carrier to leave packages at PO and leave note in your mailbox for you to pick it up. I have my new customers to fill out the form and let me know where they want me to put their packages at the door, backyard, right by the mailbox or at PO. I have problem with some customers, they did not bother to fill out the form to let me know who live in the house especially when too many people with many different names live at that address. Those I do not trust but then again I know who honest customers and not honest ones.

Really????

yea really. like you said before - everybody's got different experience with different service. UPS has damaged my father's very expensive music equipment. Took them a while to compensate us for it. and UPS has lost my packages couple of times... which took a while for them to deliver to me.

Since I have no problem with USPS, I will stick with them until they crap out on me.

I do miss having Saturday mail... I used to get Monday to Saturday Mail in one of old area I used to live in NZ, but other places I used to live in NZ only have Monday to Friday Mail.

Currently where I live in Australia, I only get Monday to Friday mail.

UPS or FedEx s packages always be delivered to my work instead of my home. Last several years UPS had been left package of Sorenson VPs on front door of my house. I disliked it. So UPS delivery man request my signature before giving package of MVPs. That's good!

OH pulllease! The computers were on ANYWAYS , so might as well make it useful. I say its better online then snail. You have more control over finaces which is more important in this recession thing we having now.

I support no sat mail- no need to get mail on sat. Makes it easier not to worry if thieves check mailboxes while we are gone for weekend. Its fine with me to leave postoffice open on sat, but we need more services available without the darn postmaster. I want to weight my own stuff without people behind me and make decision whats best postage to put on it.

No need to have more shifts to cover 6 days. 5 days is good, better labor relations. since less and less letters are being delivered, a couple more on fri or monday won't hurt anybody.

IF post office DOES go bye bye, then I suspect that other carriers like UPS, DHL coulde/will pick up the slack and add letters/postcard service. They seem to provide better service anyways. This way , I have no worries about mailing X-mas cards in dec.

well - there are lot of people who do billing chores on Saturday since they're too busy and tired to do with billings during weekdays. Saturday is nice for them to catch up on it and to mail out or receive mails.

I think that don't need mail on Saturday. if you want Saturday mail, Stamp price may hike. Do you worry to get bills???????

I don't think that she is understand about issue with USPS.

My really comment was because he used "always" and "never"

It also cut jobs too.

Jobs will be getting next years! The mail is awful in my town! The post office has losdt $900 worth of checks and a package over the 23 years I lived here!
I never a got a package worth $100 that my sister send to me! The rest is in checks ! I am sick of the horrible service ! I went to the post office and said
I want my money back from all the stamps I paid for as they lost my mail!
The government does not have to account for poor service!

then it is your local post office that is in a dire need of change in management. My post office is fine.

Some packages came in as suprised. in-laws like to send gifts.

But if this apply to all packages... I guess I could do that.
