I have a horizontal crack on right hinge of LCD panel shell. My laptop is only 4 year old and I couldn't find Acer replacement shell in Ebay. So another method to repair. Since that hinge have spring and is bolted to frame of the mobo shell and LCD monitor shell that put alot of twisting stress on it.
I wonder have anyone ever repaired hinge crack on their laptop. Superglue wouldn't fix it. Is there any other methods that can permanently repair the hinge crack?
Take a look at pictures of how bad it is (pictures taken with Logitech Vision Pro for MAC w/auto focus)

I am worried that perhap about 10 to 20 times opening and closing the LCD monitor shell hinge will finally give way to unhinge the monitor.
I am planning on getting new laptop in near future. So I don't care if it would look ugly on my good ol' Acer laptop. Planning on giving it to kids once I get new one.
