it is because communication between the husband and the wife is not good.

Money problem?

some people just grow out of love with their spouse, to the point that some marriage end in divorce because of cheating (like the man leaving his wife for another woman, or woman leaving for another man).

relationship is a complicated thing. it isn't always easy. You can have the best communication and still end up in divorce. you seen how people debate. Some people just don't see eye to eye.

My guess would be that some couples just grow apart...different ways, different paths....the things they have in common when they first got married...changes thru the years. If they don't keep in tune with the other partner's wants, desires, etc., they grow apart. Communication is a big key, so is compromising and being able to talk to each other about anything, never keeping secrets. Taking care of urself and each other is imperative too.

I admire couples being married 20-30-40 even 50 years! Find it amazing..and asking some of them "What's the secret"??...some say: "Never going to bed mad."...HAHA...Marriage is a hell-of-a-job!

Yeah....I hate when people divorce over SILLY things. Remember when they get married at some chapel or something...a guy says in love no matter what...like poor or for rich, sick or in health, etc....My parents have been married for 29 years right now...soon 30 years next year.

Financial issue is the reason.

I'm only married 11 years. I follow that rule as my father told it to me when I was younger. "never go to bed fighting" Sure we have the odd tiff, I think most healthy marriages do. But I always sort it out before going to sleep. Makes a big difference!

Seems you got ur stuff together!....May you both have many, many more years together!

Finance is a big reason. I think alot of married people fall out of love with each other after after about 10-20 years or so, but stay together for financial reasons and/or any kids. But if the financial incentive isn't there (or as good as it used to be), basically there's no reason for them to stay together. Especially now with women having their own careers they don't depend on their husbands for like they did 40 years ago ( 3/4 of divorces are filed by women),.

well to be honest with everybody here... since you know from my other posts in variety topics. I have experienced ups and downs in my marriage of 12 years and we both have done our research in the country... everyone who posted here got it right.. its being caused by bad financial, bad communication, love fading, lots of hot debating on the difference, and even there is still love but not as a spouse.

:wtf: kind of question is that?

I don't think she really was asking a question. Just stating why they fail. communication. (and probably people to be aware of it so they can work on their communication)

But that doesn't only happen in the U.S.

No one notices as old, long-time married folks. :io:

I got married late in life, but we will be married 17 years next month. I was 29 and hubby was 36 at wedding. First time for both of us. We have had a lot of ups and downs, but they only made our marriage stronger. We are currently going through a down time, but we would never leave each other. We have too much invested in this union. We married for better for worse and most people can't handle the "for worse" part and in the case of one of my uncles, his 3 wives left because they couldn't handle the "in sickness" part.

If your husband has your attitude then I think you will grow old together :)
