what is your favorite shampoo? I don't really have a favorite yet, but I do use Pert light conditioned.

I'm trying to find another brand that will do well for my fine, thick (as in too many hair), long hair. Every morning, I wake up with a big glob of tangles because of my fine hair. but there is so many to choose from. I don't think Pert is very good for my hair.

Not kidding. How about kids shampoo with detangler in it. Or a spray bottle of kids detangler for the morning?

Lately, I have been using the Aussie products. I love the smell and leaves my hair soft./COLOR]

I've used my kid's bedhead spray and it works pretty good! You can get a better version at your local beauty supply store. One that doesn't smell like watermelon. LOL

I tried the bottle of detangler before. It didn't work for me. But some conditioner works. The problem is it also weigh down my hair and my hair get oily easily.

as far as shampoo, I was looking for one the other day, couldn't find it.

You should try Mane n Tail detangling shampoo. It sounds kinda strange, it was originally made for horse, but people use it now. It's cheap and you get a nice big bottle :P Also, if you use a detangler/ conditioner, make sure you only put it on the ends. I was having issues w/oily scalp and thats what hair stylist told me.

Due to allergies I use 4 different shampoos on a rotating basis and still have hair fall out. It comes back in thicker so I'm not worried about it falling out.

I have Tre'Semme', Pantene Pro-V shampoo with conditioner, Suave Clarifying, and Aveeno moisturizing.

My hair is VERY thick and tends to get oily. The Pantene is one of the best and getting the knots out and having them stay out during a windy day here in Florida or a tossng and turning night in bed. Tangles just comb right out.

I was actually was looking at that brand today. but I wasn't sure if it is good. I'm scared to buy a new shampoo because I afraid I wouldn't like it and just stop using it because the problem with oily, fine, tangled hair. some brands make my hair tangle even more, and other make it more oily by the end of the day. That's why I decided to ask around. Thanks, I also seen it have alot of positive feedbacks as well.

Might be a good idea for me to try the Mane 'n Tail shampoo....I have oily roots and dry ends...Drives me batty! At one time, there was this Dry Shampoo called "Psssssttt"....I used it on my roots to get the oil out, it worked great and smelled good too...so I didn't have to wash my hair daily. But haven't been able to find it anymore......believe it was by Clairol.

Using any conditioner weighs my hair down, so I don't use it, too heavy for my hair. Otherwise, I just wash my hair every other day,,,,,

Lighthouse try travel size if you can.

Is Mane n Tail color safe? Don't want to undo my color.

Psssssttt is available at walgreens where I live. I use it on occassion. U can also you plan old cheap cornstarch:P I put a little in and rub through roots, them brush with a boar brush and flash a quick blow drying action and you have fuller, non oily hair!

I believe the mane n tail is color safe. I have colored treated hair and it was fine.

I have been using Sauve....the one that with curls....I do have natural curls. :) Soon out, so may look for different brand for a change. :) I also use Frizz cream to control my curly frizzy hair! LOL!

I've got a friend that could use something like that. I would never mention it to him, but he's got pretty bad bedhead.

I went through several shampoos to find one that actually worked... I needed one that prevented dandruff. I tried Selsun Blue. Great for dandruff, but it left my hair feeling really weird. I tried Head & Shoulders... it made my hair soft but it didn't get rid of all the dandruff. Now I use L'Oreal Vive Pro Men because it leaves my hair soft & dandruff free. :P We have 3 more containers of it in the cupboard. Now all I need to do is find a soap that helps with dry skin (mainly in the winter time).

I've used Mane & Tail on my horse for years and it works very well to detangle his tail! It's long, curly, coarse, and think and it works for him...I assume it would work well for a human too! It smells nice, always a bonus.

I use Herbal Essances for coloured hair. Works for me!

There are lots of excellent hair products on the market for people, so there's no need to buy products that are designed for horses. Human hair and horse hair are not the same.

I use Paul Mitchell Daily Moisture shampoo and conditioner. My hair is short, thick, fine and dry, so I'm afraid that's not going to help Lighthouse. Sorry.

Main & Tail is actually marketed at people too.

Marketed, yes. Developed for people, I don't know. If that's the case, then people should use it only on their manes and tails. :giggle:
