my mom told me that my great uncle Fred Mathews having lung cancer but he went doctor's office months ago with my great-aunt Mary and my grandma for checkups of hearts&lungs at doctor's office.

I told my mom about cancer can kill my great uncle Fred in months or years but my great uncle fred will go chemo or biospy but i hates see my great aunt mary let down but my family will prayers for my great uncle get stronger or not.

But we will kept updates..

Sara, I'm sorry to hear that I will keep your uncle in my thoughts.

Cancer is pretty bad no matter how you get rid of it. If your great uncle can be lucky to get rid of cancer with chemo and then have remission. He might live a few years or live a long time without cancer showing at all. I am praying for your great uncle to get help and feel better after the chemo for remission. He only have to fight hard to beat cancer. :(

I´m sorry to know about your Great Uncle and hope everything goes smooth for him.

Medicine and technology have advanced during the years, and will continue to advance. So, the chances of beating cancer today is better than yesterday. Hopefully they will be able to help your great uncle. My thoughts are with you and your great uncle.

I'm very sorry to hear about this Sara and yes cancer is a horrible way to go as I've seen this with several family members. I would never wish for this on a loved one. A happy sleep death I believe is always best to go.

Hey Sara, I know EXACTLY what you're going through. I experienced this with my dad. But unfortunately when he was diagnosed, he had probably had it for many years or his cancer was too advanced. He was diagnosed and dead in less than 4 weeks.

Hugs to you, yeah chemo and other options can help cancer sufferers stay alive for years. I hope this is the case with your uncle. Send prayers and good luck wishes to your uncle

I am really sorry about your great uncle, Sara. My prayers are with you.
