What word do you hate the most?

I don't like the word "nevermind" it kind gives away like don't want to bother with you or give any explaination and leaves you hanging. I don't like, "you suck" really a put down. When someone says, "Yo" it really bugs me.

I hate that word with a passion! It represents years and years of oppression for me.

I changed my mind..now, this is the word I hate the most.

Oppression is a mighty big word but I'd agree with you because if not for that, how much impact it would have left on us? Perhaps we would have been more sociable or our self esteem would have been in a better place? Just something to think about.

In the bold - That is exactly why I despite this word "nevermind" because it also makes you feel dislodged. It's like saying we are faced with a cliff hanger just like what those TV shows does to us.

The word I hate the most: can't. But remove the 't, and can is the word I love the most.

Never mind does make me and my bro upset. If I do that to him, he persists talking to me until I break open a closed shell. Very uncomfortable.

When my friends say never mind to me, it irks me as I'm not able to acknowledge the full details of the conversation and being left hanging is not a good feeling at all. After some effort, I just drop it and move on.

I also hate these words, tramp, whore, chink, and homo (when used negatively). I don't like it when someone says, "he's a homo" or "I think homos should go to jail cause they're breaking the laws of religion"

I'm cool with, "Got homo milk?" (from 1% homogenous milk)

Words I dislike (a lot)
1. "squat" for obvious reasons
2. "no"
3. "I can't"
Thanks to Bebonang in the "should you talk to hearing family" thread, now I realize why and how very much I really, really dislike the words (Phrase) -
4. Never Mind!!!
I knew it bothered me, but couldn't find the words to describe why. It was sooo obvious.; to the speaker, it wasn't worth saying the first time and I wasn't even worth a repeat! ha!

:gpost: and I couldn't agree more.

I also like the word hope because no matter what challenges we face, there is always hope.

Yes, that word has come across me by people. I am like, okay, so, you don't care to expand? They just want the easy way out and say, never mind. That's just my feeling on that word, like a cliff hanger.

Some cuss words bother me but too risky to add to the list.

I detest this word completely, makes me very mad and I'd say 'your loss! ain't telling you my news!' and walk off.

Other words I do not like very much when I was younger - a snide 'what?' when you call their attention when they're absorbed in something else.

And oh, patronizing comments do really really get my hackles up, I'd just sigh, then walk away without blowing my top at them. And when they say 'I ain't finished with you yet, come back here!' - I just continue to walk off and that really gives me a bad day after that.

Who do they think we are?, a lot of us have really succeeded well in life and they fail to see that and think we need mollycoddling or down-talked to!

And a personal favourite of mine, my uncle fails to see that deafness is for life and always quotes the bible and says he'll pray for a miracle to restore my hearing?!... and even now that I have a CI, he thinks I'm cured and tried to ring me the other day, my father had to explain it to him as he's an MD and he still doesn't get it! - bless him, nice but dim and he irritates me with the bible bashing. I'm agnostic by the way.

Never mind it's not important...... GRRR!!!!

NO YOU CAN'T DO IT!!!!

You can't be that deaf! you speak so well!! Groans

This lady is hard of hearing!

I hate it when people say they wish that this person will just die, It's not a nice word to say that about anyone no matter how much they dislike someone.

And I hate it when someone threaten someone harm, by saying "I'll hit you" or "I'll beat you"

I also hate it when someone makes fun of overweight people by calling them names such as "whale" "pig" etc. It's so inappropriate and it's not nice at all.

I also dislike when I ask my husband what does he want for dinner. He will say "food"

I am like what kind of food do you want.. Then he says "The Edible kind"

I was so irritated that day, I served him Baby food. :giggle:

He looked at me and asked me what was that, I told him "Food!" and walked away laughing! :laugh2:

I remember cooking spag bol to crew of 18, there was tins of minced beef. I had brain wave whilst shopping I bought few tins of dog food and few tins of minced beef..... swapped the labels!...

When we ate our food and one of the crew who is new and just joined us were going into galley to wash up, his face fell apart when he saw the tins and shouted "she fed us DOG food" all the crew (who knows this prank already) laughed so hard. He was not happy with my prank!

Anyway Back to on topic... i apologise for going off..

I also dislike the word Fricking. I get on to my Daughter for saying that. I told her that she might as well say the other F word. Since Fricking is just a replacement word for F'ing

I really hate when married people call each other "mom" and "pa." I knew an older married couple that did that and I thought that it was weird.

I really hate the word "tacky." Once a woman told me that I was being tacky. It's tacky to tell someone that they're being tacky.

I hate this crap words:

"You can't"
"You didnt hear anything"
"We were'nt talking about you:
"You can't work there cause you can't hear"

GRRRRR!

oh another word I despise is Never mind. I hate that when they say that to me just because I didn't hear it in first place.

I hate words like

"whatever" when I have an argument with someone.

"shut the fuck up" when someone wouldn't listen to me when I was trying to say something.

"fuck off!" when I was trying to calm someone.

"you fucking cunt"...I REALLY hate that word too cause my ex stepfather used that against my mom many times til she divorced him.

and the "N" word which I didn't like that either as it is a hate word.

And so on...
